I enjoy your videos so much! I've recently started a pulmonary rehab program and feel it's helping already. I've been smoke free for eight months now and I'm SO glad I gave it up. I had no choice, it was killing me. Keep up the great work. You're a great inspiration!
@MrGayKieran Thank you for your great comment. I hope all that heavy air isn't too hard on your breathing. We don't have fog, but there is about 10.16 cm of snow on the ground. It appears we may have a white Christmas in Columbus, Ohio this year. Happy Holidays to you and your family...Breathe well my friend.
@mriser i was told i had copd at age of 35,i couldnt believe it when doctor me that i had it , i had a wondeful friend and uncle who died that copd they both smoked til the end,i am trying to quit myself thank you so much for posting this videos
Hi, I'm a rehab professional and have treated many people with COPD and you're 100% right. Exercise is essential because the less active you are, the weaker your muscles get. Weak muscles need MORE oxygen and this causes a chain reaction of being short of breath.

I've got it; and someone's been harrassssing me through my windows and shit...isn't that fucked up? trying to alarm someone into shortness of breath???
I am smoke free since my MI after 33 years of smoking so 1.5 years now smoke free and staying quit is extremely easy now for the question can exercise remove my need for ventilin ,atrovent and symbicort or pulmicort I find it is becoming harder to take because it hurts my chest feels like a fish flopping around so I keep thinking its my heart by just now realize my chest pains only occur when I use any of the inhalers the worst being ventilin then atrovent and symbicort .thanks
Thanks Mike I love exercise but have accepted that I can no longer run but watching your video and others on exercise I'm convinced at giving it another go not just because I have to but because I miss it and want .I also have a serious question leading upto it I should explain I had a heart attack after 3 months of barking like a dog to clear my lungs went through chest xrays and ECGs before the heart attack and six treadmill stress tests before they finally found my emphysema a year later .
This video and in fact all your COPD videos, are excellent!! I too suffer from COPD. Your videos have given me the training and also has encouraged me to work at controlling COPD. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks Mike...I have COPD and I have learned alot watching this!! ...Looking forward to anymore from you...once again , thanks man Glenn Ontario Canada

What causes COPD? Is it something you are born with? Does it come from asthma or smoking? I assume it's chronic so does it get worse over time?
