i love Phil Collins, Genesis, Phil Collins - i get mixed up. maybe they just changed the name of the band to Phil Collins instead of them taking equal credit? just remembering the radio, and by chance hearings. car journeys not seeming so long, or from annoying, to with the aid of these songs becoming, well i wouldnt be doing anything else, im glad im on the motorway in a car (8 or 9yrs old, on 200 mile drive to caravan park)

It still gives me shivers down my spine! There was something about the 80s. I miss this feeling now! It was definitely an elated sort of time. The drums and the instrumental bridge section are probably a little outdated, but I love the chord progression and the vocal melody line and particularly the guitar parts all through out the song. This is great stuff. And not to mention the backing vocals at the end of the original track.

I guess this was their biggest hit! I remember being at the Adelaide concert and half the audience had only heard this song - didn't realise that they had 15 years prior of pioneering progressive / art rock behind them. While this is a good pop song in its own right - it kind of sells genesis short. Thank god they played the lieks of Los Endos and Home By the Sea / Second Home by the sea at the show. That fucked all those disposable pop music loving teeny boppers up. Instrumentals in 7/8!

Collins used to be a phenomenal drummer, but he turned onto a hack that can only write 4 minute love songs. Collins is by no means the only one at fault. The whole band had to make the decision to go the pop route. I like Collins. He WAS talented. Peter Gabriel went to hell when he left Genesis, so both of them sold their souls.
