If you're talking about Sonic OVA, I don't think that counts because it wasn't even a movie originally, it was a compressed version of two episodes of a Japanese Sonic series into one feature-length segment that they released as a movie in North America. I was just as excited when I heard about this movie, but unfortunately, it seems like production on this movie has stopped. Just as well, considering that I found out that the script supposedly sucked.

If they were to make a Sonic the Hedgehog Movie, they shouldn't make it into a cartoon. If you watch the intro to Sonic Unleashed or Sonic the Hedgehog for Xbox, it should be like that. It would be more action packed than a cartoon.
