  • queen , masters of music. they good take anything and make it a masterpiece. legends in the musical world ! it is a great shame freddie had to pass when he did, there shall never be another freddie mercury. unbelievably good !

  • from mexico ......exito.....

  • is it me or is this a masterpiece? nice one, Bri.

  • Genialne!

  • this is queens way of seeing 2012... =)

  • @sugarbabe37 Yes! And by the end of the song we go to the next one, which is 'love of my life' (i love how it fades in) go home and sing to our b/f or g/f, wife or husband!

  • Grande voce, grande artista, grande band

  • APPRECIATE WHAT YOU ARE DOING!

  • this is bohemian rhapsody to the big queen fans

  • @killdoser123 I wouldn't say this is even close to BR. Nor similar, this reminds me of Seven Seas of Rye for some reason. i would say tha Bycicle Race is Bohemian for the big fans or anything like that

  • kind of a masterpiece :)

  • When I hear the 'plinking' of that toy koto Brain plays....I can't help but think of Highlander. Similar music was played when they did the theme for that.

  • If you need to get away from the world don't drink, take drugs.... look your bedroom door and play this into your ears you'll be taken to a better world. Why wait till your dead and hope you get to heaven when you can listen to this now.

  • After hearing this years ago I knew Led Zeplin were NOT the best band in the world. This makes Zeplin sound like beginers. :)

  • @wayneburgess63 I agree!

  • After hearing this years ago I knew Led Zeplin were NOT the best band in the world.

  • to sum up this song in one word....POWERFULL

  • A very original and unique band.Thank you England from the USA

  • hahah.. bad = good, thanks buddy..

  • Date a Asian lady # lushfmlk.info #

  • this is bad... thank you

  • @missthesevra ! :D This is probably one of the most complex songs ever composed? You obviously have no taste!

  • When you think he had to sing the same thing over and over plus harmonies pitch perfect to make this because the equipment didnt exist to do it, it makes this all the more GENIUS :)

  • This is freedies asain influence am geussing. am 18 and av only just found this old queen stuff. very unique, take a bit of warming to but I think I like it.

  • This is the greatest song ever fucking written.

  • Happy birthday!

  • Epic beyond all reason! Hail Queen!!!

  • this is awesome

  • I see no day, I heard him say

So grey is the face of every mortal

    ...yeeeahhh awesome lyrics

  • PURE GENIUS! A Night At The Opera was, and still is a masterpiece. Brian May is a master songwriter, and in my opinion he and Freddie Mercury wrote the defining songs of the album (with Taylor and Deacon songs complementing the production)

  • Para mí este tema está dentro de los 3 mejores de Queen, junto con Bohemian Rhapsody y The March Of The Black Queen.

    Un tema épico.

  • In around 1988, when I was about 12, I didn't have my own stero and all musi I hear was on TV or passing radio. I found my stepdads walkman (remember them) and sneaked it to bed with me. Inside was the only tape I had, Queen I and one side, Queen II on the other.... Had never heard a thing like it, truly taken away to places I didn't know about. Forget muscially, visually this was fantasia for a 12yr old and I played that tape to melted pieces. Music for a while after was dreadfully bland.....

  • @brocklagan had this album when I was 7 and it took me out of a shit childhood....thank you my darling Freddie:) Hxx

  • @brocklagan but this was in the album a night at the opera :P

  • this must be the only queen song thats better recorded than live... Its a fabulous song... just cant get enough...

  • holy mother of god

  • This song is not the same in mono. Someone needs to post the stereo mix. You loose all the depth, especially during the A'Cappella. You can't truly appreciate the genius of this without a stereo mix.

  • It's a really pitty.

  • Brian genius! This is THE song of the Seventies!

  • music of that time had much more "density".

    good stuff!

  • Only queen could write and pull this off!!

  • The best song ever!

  • that we love queen site doesn't work.

  • queen pure art

  • 70's Queen is better then anything else.

  • Listen to those power chords. This is actually music. Just listen to it!!!

I also like how the end is the first melodic line to "Love of My Life."

  • Don't make them like that now

  • GREAT!

  • EPIC

  • You said it all!

  • This song is just great :D

    Love the voices

  • i love these voices in this song, but i hate the ones in my head. they tell me what to do and how to do. and if i do something wrong they will remember it looong time. and they really make it clear to me too.

  • wn cagao

  • yeah it's awesome when you play it in the car!! :(:(:( R.I.P FREDDIE

  • I love this song. Freddie has such a great voice... No-one could ever replace him!

  • not with music like nowadays

  • Sounds cool(great, even)in your car,if you have stereo system.Voices going 'round and 'round and......lol.....only album I know of that has phasing of voices like that.Very COOL!!

  • this song is great!

  • excellento!

  • I had a cassette of this when I was a kid, but totally forgot about it. The stereo with headphones was fantastic.

  • This song is so beautiful, the a capella part with the echoes gives me shivers every time i hear it. Brian is a genius!! :D

  • THIS SONG IS EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing song. I love it.

  • Freddie's a God.

a pitty the man died a month after my birth.

    Long live the Queen!

  • I was 1 year 8 months, the day he died.

    Love you Freddie

  • I love 3:20! The whole song is great, but its my favorite part.

  • LMAO!!!!

  • i love it. i still remember that was the first song of B side at night at the opera, in my humble opinion, the best album of Queen. R.I.P. Freddy

  • Cheack out Classic Albums: A night at the Opera and you'll have an Idea of why it is.

BTTW this one baby doesn't show there...They'll need another documentary to do this song alone.

  • Damn Brian was being poetic when he wrote this.

  • queen is ... without comentss

  • One of the best Queen songs in my option but i totally believe this is the greatest May composition, it is full of great vocals and guitars. This is May's attempt of Bohemian Rhapsody. Its a brilliant tune 10/10

  • Sounds like this should be used in an action film :)

  • This was and will be my favorite Queen song for ever. It's unbelievable how f*ing nice they sing

  • this songs is amazing!!!

    awsome & very creative !!

    i love the voice part

  • Now i know it already!

  • This song should be heard on a state of the art sound system.....the effect of the speakers interracting with each other & calling each other is truly amazing!

  • wow, freddie's voice...

  • can't wait for the concert!!!!!

    Queen fan 4ever

  • I love Queen xDDD I want to rape all their albums xDD Yes, they make me THAT happy lawl

  • woah, psycho! but seriously, Queen is awesome

  • ;DDD yerp.

  • The Prother's Song eè la canzone più lunga dei Queen.L'effetto del vento e stato ottenuto mettendo un microfono vicino a un ventilatore.

  • cancela il commento!

  • La più lunga canzone dei Queen.Incredibile!Le folate di vento che si sentono all'inizio della canzone sono state mettendo un microfono vicino a un ventilatore.

  • Night at the Opera is probably the only Queen album where they had tremendous rivalry over songs. Freddie wrote and conceived the incredible Bohemian Rhapsody, Brian wrote the epic called The Prophet's Song, John wrote a good song called You're My Best Friend, and Roger wrote I'm in Love With My Car, and locked himself in a closet until they agreed to put it on the album!

  • did he locked himself up??

  • hahaha you just reminded me of South Park...

"Dad!!! Roger Taylor doesn't want to come out of the closet!!!"

I'm in love with my car is a great song tho', I love the version in Montreal '81

  • songs from queen were so different than others in their era..so deep and deep..no other band could have come up and gotte away with their lyrics....just pure brill... too soon and now too late before their time

  • Many of the legendary groups blended wildly different styles together. That is part of what made them legendary - they dared. Queen dared more than most, and this song really shows it, blending both themes and style that few would have linked to rock.

  • The best period of Queen activity was in 1973-78. This song shows it very well.

  • can't really argue..even dough the albums in the 80's wasn't as consistent/new thinking as in the 70's..they had ALOT of great tracks aswell :)

  • one of the best Queen songs ever

  • Part of this would make a cool cell phone commerical.

    *scene man holding phone*

Man, lipsynching Freddie: Oh, Oh, people can you hear me?

*a phone in the hands of a woman who is listening*

From the phone, in slightly worse audio to indicate that it is the phone: And now I know, and now I know, and now and I know, and now I know that you can hear me.

  • you're silly!!

one of the best songs ever!!

  • Ya sweet, take a great piece of art and use it to sell cell phones, that's a great idea.

  • kyletherealdeal, I meant in no way to degrade this beautiful work of music by suggesting the aforementioned idea.

  • hahahaha that would be an awesome commercial !

  • yeah, why not just go take a dump on the master tapes, why don't you? commercial f*** (punches "paper spock")

  • (dodges adeptly)

    Again, I apologize.

  • A great, unique song from "A Night At The Opera",the best album by the best band ever!

  • this is teh first time i've had the plesure of hearing this song...and i must say i instantley fell in love with it

  • la mejor cancion de la historia, con mucha diferencia

  • pienso que Bohemian Rhapsody es mejor pero no es mucho mejor

  • My fav Queen Song!! Long live Freddie!! I miss you!!!

  • Una Top ten de Queen i del Rock en general hagut i per haver!!!!!! Èpic....

  • a brillant queen song, seriously, one of their very best

  • sin palabras ...

  • i'm so high right now

jesus christ this song is trippy

  • do cacete! esses caras eram uns montros..o Freddie Mercury principalmente.. Great!!

  • i loooove this song. Why is there no proper video in existence?

  • because it was a studio song, that means it was made for album and not for live perfomances

  • So? most other queen songs have videos. Besides, it has been played live

  • This sounds so much like a song Steeleye span would use. Why don't they ask Brian if they can?

  • that canon part (vocal interlude) is for the people smoking or actually using a level of compassion (as also being an artistic trip) this song is just FUCKING AWESOME!!.... possibly better than "children of the sea" by sabbath... god...if only people could write songs like this again.

  • @perplexedone we know hun:) xxx

  • @daviddet I so agree with the addition of It's Late :))

  • The end is actually Love of my life introduction. These songs were in this order on the original album a night at the Opera. (Queen long plays had no interruptions between some songs)

  • el sonido es muy hermoso!

  • Yes, this song was Brians Mays, one of his greatest, though they could have cut that opera part a little shorter

  • in this he used a toy-koto

in love of my life he used harp

  • Sweet!! Brian's used the last guitar-sound in some live versions of love of my live I think

  • most people hate the part of'"now i know, now i know" but thats the thing in the song wich i love most

  • Me too!! ;)

  • nhaaac!

  • The end has an eery similarity to love of mu life.

  • this whole song takes incredible talent wonderful for one man to write all singing parts and do it all by himself is amazing

  • the sony is written by Brian May, not by Freddie Mercury

  • sorry i wrote Sony and it is Song

  • Reportedly written by Brian May; I've always wondered...very complex/layered.

  • Both Mercury & Mozart had an eidetic (audio/tonal) memories; this is clearly obvious in BoRhap and others.

  • this one and bohemian rhapsody are the best songs ever. Its just awesome

  • THe middle of this song is quite eeratating and pretty much giving the song away.Awesome son,but a very peculiar middle.

  • the middle of the song is amazing

  • vou falar logo assim: DO CARALHO!!!

  • this song rules!! it´s just that weird thing in the middle of it that spoils it a bit

  • the vocals are amazing... the guitar kicks ass

  • Reportedly words/music by Brian May; I've always wondered if that were true....very complex, layered..

  • dude BRIAN MAY'S RED SPECIAL SCREAMS IN THIS

  • KICK ARSE!!!

  • I remember when I first heard this song, completely mindblowing! I think if this was released in 1975 it would have had just as big an impact as Bohemian Rhapsody!

  • Don't get me wrong, it's great, buti think that it is ehumm, too slow and weird- sounding to have worked as a single (same goes for March of the Black Queen).

  • Its a lot better than the live version

  • It was released in 1975, thats why it always hidden in the shadow of his big brother the BohRhap. May writed this song when Freddie did BohRhap

  • vor 37 jahren !!! top !!!

  • vor 32 Jahren

  • Excellent song! Don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • lmao!! thats one of my lines!!! but it is so true!!

  • I like this song 2 ~

  • amazing!

  • Insuperável!!!!

  • queen rules, this is the first queen song i really loved

  • fucking amazing i tell you!!!!

  • god i love this song....

  • Indeed, my dear. :)

    It's just fantastic. <3

  • Yeah, it farkin' fantastic. Despite the fact that they sing "Now I know" 500 times, it never grows old. And that's what differs a great song from a bad.

  • See, if I ever was in a kick ass band and we were famous, I'd do a cover on this song taking that out.

  • I love the Prophet's Song
