Sometimes, sampling a song benefits it in a way. I heard "Champion" first a couple years ago, and then just yesterday typed in Steely Dan's "Peg" into Pandora.com and I heard "Kid Charlemagne" for the first time. Of course, once I heard that one recognizable part from "Champion," I thought it was kind of cool. Now, I dig both songs. I liked Steely Dan before, but it's a nice validation to hear a relevant popular music figure sample him as well.
