  • Also, from a full tank I get around 120miles before it goes to reserve.

  • There were no mods at the time of the dyno run.

    It's now got full dep exhaust, earthed powervalve cable. Smoothed all the small air 'disrupters' and taken the snorkel off the top of the airbox, let's far more air in now.

  • Hi, what mods do you have? I have full exhaust on mine and it goes really fast, but it also uses to much fuel (in my opinion). About 7l/100k, so with a full tank i can do 150km there about. What do you think, and can do?

  • To be honest, I don't plan on putting a kickstart on it. I barely use the bike these days. Only every now and then when the weathers alright. I've got a car that I use everyday now.

    When i had the run done it was 13.29hp.

    Now with a few little mods it's around 21hp.

  • guys, you can get 28hp from this bike, mine is @ around 26hp fully d/red withe the front pipe modded, ie. cat removed and reed restriction pipe blocked off, gonna get an arrow tailpipe to let her breathe easy...

    should be the business then, its already good for 85 and gets there quick too, just remember not to mod too much, coz yamaha know how to build a good engine and most people in sheds do not!

  • it does have a kick start shaft but i havent taken the cap of to see if it would be in there

  • 13.29hp thats a bit weak for a 125 my DT125R produces atleast 20 and thats FULLY de restricted and is completely standard but i might be getting a dep exhaust for it soon, it can already beat saxo vtr's and 2l golf gti's at the lights so its gonna be a monster

  • can you give us some info on how you fitted it? i'm good on the tuning side of things, but less on the mechanics lol

  • can you fit a kick start to these bikes and does it have the kick start shaft so u can just put the lever on or wld a shaft have to be fitted ?

  • good question, there's a cap over where the kickstart should b. but i've never personally taken the cap off, id presume that the crank itself would still be in there, but don't take my word for it lol

  • @motoxplosion There is no cogwheels inside of clutch, it cost about 300 euros to get kickstarter there

  • @motoxplosion Bit late, you need the full kickstart assembly from a DT125R, dont forget the seal!

  • dyno session cost me £20 and the bike put out 13.29 bhp at the rear wheel. the bike was standard at that point though, i've not managed to get the bike back on the dyno since ive upgraded parts on the bike

  • I really like the DTX my mates brother has one, my XT looked tiny next to it. I'd defiantly have bought one if I was going to stick with a 125 for a while.

  • it wasnt when the video was taken, but it now has a DEP performance pipe, derestricted powervalve system and a hell of a lot more air flow.

  • i bought the bike from new for £3199, then he new dep exhaust sytem cost me £249 and the tyres that i've put on it (Dunlop Sportmax D207) cost £160 fitted, then i've put renthal chain and sprockes on and goodridge braided brake lines, i'll try and get some pics hosted and put a link up soon

  • dying to know what the dyno test will say with with the dep, ypvs ect..

  • mines earthed and the rubber funnel from the air box removed.. gives a nice dep note. just need the dep. cool, keep us posted..

  • end power was 13.29bhp and 8.90 ft/lbs of torque at the wheel, since then its had a full dep exhaust and a few small power mods, more to come ......

    i use only fully synthetic oil from castroll TTS.

  • don't they have standard 15horsepower? fully unrestricted it has 21horsepower and a top of 135/140 KM/H

    mine does now 110km/h restricted.
