@slingstone49 @slingstone49 in the film, that lady claims she's a food scavenger -- she dumpster dives & eats food that people tend to overlook & deem inedible. she's after those apples b/c she claims that the neighbor doesn't eat them & they go to waste. i agree that she doesn't have a right to take them, especially since they explicitly denied her permission. just pointing out that she wasn't stealing from them solely b/c they voted for bush.

Once i was on a mandala painting course and i met a boeddhist woman and she teached me how to prepare a leek with anger and with joy. The taste was completely diffrent and it was the same leek and the same knife but a diffrent awareness

I just saw this movie. Ed Brown is a fool. He is a social misfit who just needs some flunkies, too much like a cult leader. He is to Buddhism what arm wrestling is to ballet. The philosophy of food is good, however. But this guy makes me sick to listen to.
