Half right. The song is about a gay crush in highschool. But the lead singer of the Killers is straight, married and, strangely enough, Mormon.

Jenny was a friend of mine was about lying to the police to cover up a murder. But the lead singer of the Killers has also likely never killed an ex-girlfriend and hid her body.
