Several reasons:

1) So that it's possible to play it on hardware easily

2) To have room for special features without worrying about size constraints

3) CD Audio in future versions.

I wonder if it might be possible to add other characters to Sonic 1 Megamix? Espio would have some of the moves Sonic has, but could also throw shurikens at badniks and turn himself invisible; Cream can fly like Tails, though while she can fly for longer than Tails, she can't fly as high; Vector would either only lose a maximum of 20 rings when hit, or take two hits before dying while he has no rings; and Amy could generate a whirlwind using her hammer, that draws in badniks and destroy them.

I chose subs for this so that the viewer can hear the music and that I can add comments when I need to. There's a lot of stuff in this game to explain (most being very obvious :P).

Plus I like to try something new.

that "toot toot sonic warrior" is awsome! i'd download the game but my computer's a piece of shit right now. i can't download an upgrade for because the computer might crash. IT TAKES 10 MINUTES FOR THE WINDOW SCREEN TO POP UP AND 20 MINUTES FOR IT TO ACTUALLY BE ABLE TO CLICK ON SOMETHING ( so i'm typing this comment on my PS3) IM SUPRISED I NEVER GOT BLUE-SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!
