@kittycaMAL Mehdi Hasan censors any comments made about him on his Newstatesman site, a periodical which purports to support freedom of speech. I try to make sure that everyone knows what his extreme right wing Islamist views really are. I am judging Mehdi Hassan on what he has actually said himself when talking to fellow Muslims. He calls non-Muslims 'kaffirs' (an insulting racist term used by Muslims to denote scum') and says that ordinary English people are stupid and worse than cattle in the way they live their lives. He has also insulted homosexuals and put them on a par with paedophiles.

I like Medhi Hasan. I think he is intelligent. He might show his strange religious views sometimes, but he mostly conceals that (I'm not sure if he really meant what he said anyway- maybe he was just getting carried away) and acts normal. It's irrelevant to his arguments anyway- otherwise I think he talks a lot of sense. Muslims tends to pay a lot of attention to the actual WORDS of their Holy book (unlike most Christians) which is a problem, but it doesn't mean that even those people are bad.
when i first watched question time with Mehdi Hassan (the episide where he got poor old Michael Hesiltine squirming) I thought Mehdi was a smart guy with balanced interesting views. I then watched him on youtube ranting on about how bad non-muslims (like animals etc) i was shocked. Just can't trust anybody these days (search for " Mehdi Hasan debates "the kaffar" on Question Time" on youtube.
