The huge amount of global investment pushed by the IMF also contributes greatly; "investment" sounds nice, but in reality it means "put the (usually developing) country into debt." Developed nations pay a huge amount of money to rich nations.
The solution isn't to back money with a commodity. That leads to deflation, which devastates everyone who isn't wealthy.

It is not part of the public or commercial banking system. These are the old-rich and foreign nationals who have bought into the 12 regional Fed banks.

The only "Government" aspect of FRS is Pres appoints the Chair and 5-7 of the Board of Governors, then confirmed by Senate. About half of Board are Dist Bank reps.
Oversight? It purposely wasn't supposed to have much.

The misconception that the Fed is completely independent or private is false as it is a quasi-public entity. The Fed, like most central banks in the world, is considered "independent," which is basically a term of art meaning that its day-to-day operations are not overseen by the federal government. However, its chairman and board of governors are appointed by the president. It is also subject to Congressional legislation.

Central banking was introduced in the 17th century and merely transformed usuary into cast iron law. Islamic banks do not allow usuary hence why the western banks hate them. The President I referred too was the President of the USA, not the "President" of the Fed. The bankers choose the (potential) Presidents and you choose which one.

The huge amount of global investment pushed by the IMF also contributes greatly; "investment" sounds nice, but in reality it means "put the (usually developing) country into debt." Developed nations pay a huge amount of money to rich nations.
The solution isn't to back money with a commodity. That leads to deflation, which devastates everyone who isn't wealthy.

@ThePerQLator Whether you like the federal reserve or not, there are countless things that citizens of a country implicitly agree to simply by living there and using the services.
I think that the Fed should lose a substantial amount of its freedom/autonomy, but people like yourself don't seem to know what happened historically when we did not have any central banking system (the Free Banking era). I would rather have central banking than a bunch of unstable, often failing, banks.

u have no clue what ur talking about and u know nothin about the fed. i wasnt born into this country to pay interest to a private bank. centralized or not. the U.S. and its people could just as easliy replace and do the job of the fed for no interest charged leaving us no national debt.. and dont speak to me about history either.. the promise made when congress centralized the fed was that the economic crisis' would never happen again only to have the great depression fall on us 20 yrs later!

If you know a Broker, check those #'s and it will come back as you.YOU are stock in the US corporation, ALSO if you own a home when you signed the DEED there is a paragraph that clearly states that you are a TENANT. You CAN NOT change the Constitution by passing a law.
There has to be a Constitutional Convention that proposes the change, & a super-majority of the Congress & States has to vote 'AYE.'
