Even nowadays russia makes all years parades to tribute all who was sacrified to that war. Something that i never saw in usa. Americans have probably the best army in the world but who cares? that means more impact in wars?

It was evenly matched between the Russians on Eastern front and the Brits and Americans on Western front and the North Africa Campaign. Also, the US Military has made a point of never wasting time on training military personnel for military parades.

Also, the Victory Parades you speak of honor the Politburo more than any one soldier. Dragging out the anti-aircraft batteries and ICBM engines to Red Square was more of a show of strength to the West than to honor the fallen soldiers of WWII. Especially since many of those soldiers were sent right back to the Gulag system where they came from after the war.
Germany deployed roughly 150 Divisional equivalents inside Russia. From 1943 onwards, the Germans deployed 122 divisions from Norway to France. Thus by D-Day, the Germans were equally committed on both the Eastern and Western Fronts.
...So if Germany didn't loose, then why did they not invade Britain? After the Battle of Britain Germany didn't invade Britian because they didn't have the air supremacy which was needed, so they invaded Russia. Think about it, Germany could of kept going with out the "small" part of luftwaffe stationed in France.
Acctually the Spitfire had better manuver capabilities than the BF109. And acctually we had less casualties that what the Germans had. The Hurricane was more of a Bomber killer, Spitfire more a BF109 killer.
Um... No. Hitler was an idiot and that is why the allies won (Also they had the huge support of russian troops). In fact, the only thing britain did right in that war was pushing the germans out of the middle east, which they later lost due to the german-influenced-and-funded extremist groups.
I really couldn't give a shit on what people say about "Who won the war," and "Oh Britian did fuck all", all I care about is that I live in a bloody free world because of the Americans, Britain, the Allies and Russia having had won the war. If you want to moan about the war, moan to the people who fought in it if your feeling that cocky about it.

What is true is that the Soviets did the most to defeat nazi germany.
Consideruing that the germans never had over 55 div at one time in the west, while they had 157 div. on the eastern front, who recived the major amount of new weapons and little reinforcements. Going to the western front usualy was considered a blessing to rebuild partialy destroyed units from the eastern front.
The germans also had about 25 div. in Italy which can be added to the 55 mentioned before. So imagine facing all those divs + weapons + all there losses during the eastern front. the war would have been very much longer.
germany had easily the coolest army of world war two, with their severe feld-grau uniforms and sharp helmets. then came the americans with their laid back baggy fatigues. after then the British with more practical uniforms and cool helmets, after them the Japs and finally the french.
2bh the Germans had the most Modern army of the second world war, and that was definitly demostrated with their troops uniform and equipment, which was better than that of the Americans and British and Japanese, though perhaps a little behind considering the americans M1Garand and British Lee Enfields (the best rifles of their era's)
but i like german camo, and the style of their uniforms which are closer to modern kit than any other army of the period.

Well actually Britain took more casualties during the battle becuase luftwaffe had better fighters (BF109) compered to Hurricane and Spitfire.

1. retreat = killed by your own side.
2. pow = killed by germans or your own troops (that considered you a traitor)
