@goblinax the terrain is stored in a two dimmensional bool array. then you keep checking for a true value (ground is there) at the position the projectile is at, or the tanks.
@TheMasterMind555 you might get bored if you dont like programming a lot. there is other work too, like designing images and levels maybe which will give you a break from the programming. Don't worry if you're alone, this 'team' was me and a friend ;). and dont be ashemed to take on a project and then dump it if you get bored. if/when you make the game post a video reply here, I'd love to see it. good luck!
Well I guess I like programming because I learned HTML/JavaScript, Then PHP and now C# without really stopping LoL And whenever I'll have enough knowledge to start making a 2d Game, I will surely make a video to show what I made :D
@MasterofTutoriaL96 Well I guess it is possible to program your own buttons, but since i was using the windows form i found those easier to use. Check out my last video for my new youtube account, i am making an XNA and Farseer game which has custom made buttons
@MasterofTutoriaL96 hope this helps, you can also use a picturebox and switch the images on the , mouse over or hover and mouse click events, and make the images with a program like Paint(dot)NET (not a URL, that is the name but you know youtube wont let me write dot and net)

AH i was there, i liked basic but then i just like skipped it, when you think you are ready to go over to C# go for it, you'll find that it is really easy and similar to Basic

Today I registered my C++ in the Microsoft web, but I left it as I opened it XD ...
Anyway I don´t learn VB faster because I almost don´t use it, I use it only when I feel inspired to do something...

YEP! All I used was Visual C# Express, The ground is like made using pixels and bool grids, well if you want the code just go to my website and email me using the contact us page. The later programs i made come with source code if you want to take a look at those too
