Another point of the video that I appreciate (but ran out of space to do so) is the transition to playing for an old "Hank Williams" "Bob Wills" style show. Ideals of old die in this modern life. Maybe it's just this antiquated idea of a man, maybe it's just women lead away by generic and "evil" advertising. Seems even more so now with depictions of "Bling" and womanizing being the common perception in many published videos now, and taken in by the modern youth culture.
I am really impressed with this video, for once. It is strange how it does a "back of the shoulder" view often, but I like that with more viewing. I also like the magazine viewing for the woman, and I guess it is topped off by Tracy Lawrence with the "I'm doing this but I don't like that it had to happen" straight face in the end. Funny for thinking, but cool for feeling. And the youth of Lawrence in this video(and thus song in retrospective) adds to it a great deal.
Oh, how this song reminds me of the good times in college getti'n fucked up on 25 cent tequila shots at the San Antonio Tx. country bars on thursday nights.
yep, u make plans to make a fairytale and along comes someone else wanting what you've worked so hard to get. then it falls apart, but we do again with someone else. Love, why?? ha
dont worry, there are men out here who understand every part of a song like this in mind and heart and we know whats right.just gotta meet that girl who knows the same.haha. just saying, its hard on both sides and women can frustrate us too.aint love grand?
I remember the first time I heard this song on the radio, while my mom and I were in the car back in '91. First thing I said to my mom was that this guy was going to be big. Even all these years later, Tracy's music stands strong as examples of great country.
I wasn't even born when this song came out,but it's one of the best songs i've ever heard.90's country was the best.I've had so many memories of listening to this music when I was growing up.
I Love this Song, We were playing the County Fair in Indiana, I think in 1991, a Silver Eagle pulled up, I said who's Bus??,someone said Tracy Lawerence, I said "WHO"??,It was right before this Song I had not heard of him, I guess that changed.. Thanks for posting the real one, Love it
I think this was the first song I heard from you Tracy, that was on radio. I instantly knew you were gonna be a star with that voice. You have a great natural voice and effortless singing style. This song was an instant favorite of mine, and still is!
Man, that took me back! That is still one of my all time Tracy Lawrence songs! This is the video that made me fall in love with Tracy. We've grown up together and I'm still a huge fan. Love ya!
