  • I totally agree. These are amazing pieces of furniture from a wonderful era.

  • You've posted a most lovely item. I own a few from the same period. This is an example of great taste. Thank you for sharing it.

  • I enjoy all your videos. I am trying to learn to do upholstery for my own enjoyment. This one looks like it can be tricky. Very beautifully done.

  • @ALICEPIN I used a "round point" long upholstery needle

  • Just amazing! The fabric choices, skill and detail are awesome. I didn't know you could do it like that at 1:39, I thought you had to remove the wood or something.

  • @kbs1212 The trim that's used to cover the staples is hot glued into place

  • What a beautiful piece !!!!! Even before the Re-upholstering......

  • Love the color! It's gorgeous!

  • ohhh the joys of deep buttoning :D

  • You have actually just reinforced my resolve to get a professional to reupholster my antique chair. That looks hard and scary!! The chair looks great, good job!

  • Thanks for posting this! I just bought a chair and matching sofa much like this one. It's ok for now, but I'd like to redo it at some point- the buttons had me confused, THANKS!

  • I want to learn how to do this! There are chairs I've seen in thrift stores that I've wanted... only if I knew how to reupholster them. I can do the simple stuff but the diamond button tufting is something I want to learn. I'm not sure how to accurately do my measurements.

  • Beautiful job!

  • Thank you very much. Silk can be a challenge but the results are worth it!
