  • Jeff please reform Edwin Dare and do a tour that takes in the UK!!!!!! Bryce are you reading this? Get on the case and make it happen! You guys are too good to not have some exposure again and be performing up there with the bigger bands like Symphony X etc.

  • Oh yeah! Seeing this brings back the memories of hanging with these guy on the party patio at JJ's aqua lounge. Give it up for Toledo!!!!

  • MY UNCLE IS IN THE BAND!!!!! YOUR A BEAST UNCLE BRYCE ROCK ON!!!!!!!!

  • I feel the power

  • I was there watch Jeff blow the fuse box that night, lol great Job Jeff

  • very good... the Jeff starts shredding and we get to see the bass player and some dudes in the crowd :/

  • I know these guys I used to go see them at the Toy Tiger in Louisville all of the time. I would like to get in touch with Brice or Jeffery somehow. I have not seen either of them for 17 years.

  • singer reminds me of Midnight from Crimson Glory at times! Jeff Kollman had some great chops but...he is better now!!!

  • I bought this off ebay. Very good CD. This band sounds just like Banshee.

  • WOW!!!! Thank the heavens for Youtube!! I saw this band so many times at The Crow Bar!! Come on Toledo, tell me the other names of that bar.... Awesome. Period.

  • everyone in this band is amazing at what they play. too bad they aren't around anymore.

  • this band kicked ass!.. hope Jeff Kollman's still playing cuz he's a big influence for me as an axeman

  • this is kick-ass metal!!.. Jeff Kollman has awesome phrasing in his solo.. too bad they didn't show it :)-

  • Can't Break Me is a great album. Can someone please upload Don't Listen To Your Head? One of the best metal songs ever!

  • The lead singer, Bryce, is my dads best friend...His newest band is playing at my parents' party this October ;)

  • @daniechy1 Tell us what band dude so we can check it out please!!

  • Nice camera work on the bass player...while the dude shreds on over dubed lead guitar....poor edit and studio take mix with vid. You guys rock,... to bad for a fake take. So be it! Kewl vox in the can!

  • This is exactly how these guys sounded live. Tight as shit.

  • Cool fuckin' riff

  • my dad has the drummer's drums in my basement, and i always play them

  • I used to be a jock on FM 104 WIOT in Toledo, and I never missed an Edwin Dare show. Great memories of Roxanne's with these guys!

    -Dennis O'Brien

  • what an obsession... this is an "oldies but goodies".

  • If you are interested I have one of the original

Edwin Dare CD's on Amazon (Can't Break Me) Has this song and Backburner. All of the other tunes have killer guitar on them as well.

  • You guys remember the parties on Alden Court at Danny Dauer's house in Toledo? Man, what ever happened to those days?! Where the hell is Danny anyway? (Fargon Bastage!) Tell him Bob H. from 1015 said Hi! and Bob misses all of you. Peace!

  • Kollman shreds for sure he tore up the club scene back in the 90s around toledo my brother and best friend got to see Edwin dare back up Tony Macalpine back in 91 .

  • That single note riff in the song is bad ass. Sounds like the guitar is tuned down or in dropped D??? Any feedback?

  • Jeff Kollman, who's playin' there, generally plays in AGDGBe. He tunes his low E to A, and his A to a G, if I'm not mistaken.

  • I hear he played in GCDGBe too.

  • Drop D on this one. D minor center. He hadn't started doing his current modified tunings back then.

  • Yeah, Z-Rock days Phil Nice

  • Edwin Dare rock!! I was desperate to get hold of their albums and luckily found out that all three was available through itunes store. So go there and buy them if you haven´t, they are great! 5 stars!!

  • Never heard of them (until now), but they rock!

  • Woooww!THIS ROCKS!

  • i jammed with jeff when he drop-by here in the philippines for the fender guitar clinic... he was such a cool guy, and i'm the only lucky guy in there to get to sit down with him and talk about guitars... he's really humble and we play some few good tunes... he's creative and a very versatile artist...

  • I really wonder why Jeff does a solo the camera is on somewhere else. I lost the guitar solo shot in this clip. What a shame!

  • good to see this again..jeff is a great guitarist..Had the good fortune to see edwin dare in toledo and also shared a beer with jeff.he also gave me a handful of picks...great guy...glad he is doing so well!!

  • thanks schenk4 for steering me onto edwin dare excellent, Im a new jeff kollman fan now.also checkout george bellas,he rocks!JK burned on chocolate box, with mogg/way.later

  • aarrrggghhhhhh....this is greatttt!!! can i know if by any chances i could get their albums? please tell me their band names n album title. tq.

  • BEST. FUCKING. SONG. EVER.

  • This is the coolest video I have ever seen. It brings back a lot of memories seeing VXN and Edwin Dare live in Toledo in the 80's and early 90's. It don't think this video was ever released by the band. How can I get a copy.

  • AMAZING!!! Great tunes, great singer great guitar player, perfect!

  • Awesome.

  • Ruined by the worst camera editing of all time. Kollman does a kick ass solo, and the cameraman films the bassist for it's entire duration ? wtf !

  • The camera on jeff was totally out of focus. You can only work with what you've got.

  • The cameras were switched live on the fly. There was no good shot of Jeff during the solo. A clear shot of the bass player is better than an out if focus shot of the floor.

  • Saw Glenn Hughes in NYC...Jeff is THE MAN!!!!!

  • There are no vocal overdubs on this recording. Kollman sings the harmonies with Bryce; if you have the JKB record you would know that Jeff is a very capable singer in his own right. So is Chown who's always sung backups.

  • I was talking about the vocals

  • i suspect overdubs

  • There were zero guitar overdubbs live. I was a Kollman student and watched many shows. He was a prodigy player very young, awesome teacher and doesn`t need any help. If you listen, there is no rhythm guitar during the part and vise versa.

  • The audio was recorded live on a tascam 8track reel to reel. To sync it with the video Jeff held light pressure with his finger on the reel to keep the two machines in sync, so there are a couple of spots that do'nt exactly jive. But there are no overdubs.

  • Edwin Dare simply kicked ass, thanks for uploading this!

  • Wow, I can´t believe i´m watching this... I´m a big Cosmosquad fan, but I first heard u playing with Edwin Dare... instantly addicted!! Thanks a lot for sharing these rarities, and plz, keep ´em coming!!! :)

  • moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
