@Rollman1 A few years ago there was talk about Streets of fire 2, but I think it they decided against it. Although I did see Michael Pare' on one episode of Leverage. He played a totally different character from Cody on SOF. It was good to see him on tv again. By the way, Streets of fire is my all time favorite movie of all time. labelashavoc (:~>?=
@meeeee1968 i agree! diane lane is still so cool ... i like her very much :) this movie makes me tweek a bit no doubt in my seat. :) she seems so normal but yet so cool ...i wish i was more like her :) funny how TMZ actresses get all the attention all of the time when she is so good over them! if i met her, i'd hug her! thank you diane lane for being sexy and smart. i should stop talking about her now... eek
One of my favorite films - Willem Dafoe looks so cool in a pair of leather cover alls - and the last shot of him - copied from Michelangelo's Pieta made me howl with laughter. What's not to like :)
Great movie! Too bad the.studio released it when it did. There were powerhouse flicks right before it, with it, and after it. They should recast it and release the trilogy Walter Hill wanted.
BTW..best line "I'm not a bad guy, I just get nervous around beautiful women"
This is one of the greatest movies and songs ever. Grew up in the 80's. They do not make music like they did back then. None of this RAP Shit like today. Up with Jim Steinman
This was written by the same songwriter who wrote many other great power ballads in the 80s--such as Total Eclipse of the Heart and Making Love Out of Nothing At All--Jim Steinman. I wish the current generation would discover power ballads. I haven't heard any great ones in a long, long time.
@SternenfeeMina you mean "tanz der Vampire" the final aren't you? i like this as much as i like "tonight is what it means to be young". i thinks it's writen by Jim Steinmann
Steinman's written a lot of incredible songs, and I don't want to get too far ahead of myself here, but this one just might be the best (at least of the 80s).
@belleasteria ich weiß... aber ich denke die meisten Leute die ich kenne werde von eher Tanzder Vampire damit in Verbindung bringen als Streets of fire ;)
@leopoldvs There is a trio on vocals here: Holly Sherwood, Eric Troyer (on chorus), Rory Dodd (you can hear him clearly at 2.36 singing "stop your cryin' hold on tonight"). There is also a fourth vocalist (uncredited): Laurie Sargent. You can hear her voice at 4.21 (again: "stop your cryin' hold on tonight" and on). Diane Lane is dubbed by Holly Sherwood.
If anyone likes this, Goto Bubblegum Crisis " Konya Wa Hurricane" and watch it. You will get a very big surprise when you watch it. labelashavoc (:~>?=

One of the greatest music videos EVER! I can't understand how Dan Hartman's song was a much bigger hit. This song and video has everything going for it.
This is amazing. Resonates with me a lot. Especially "Say a prayer in the darkness for the magic to come..." If light is magic then how awesome it is to know, when we're in darkness, a prayer can bring light.
It's a joke you twit! How can someone with some great bands listed be so obtuse? As far as bands go, your glam love is missing The Jesus and Mary Chain and T-Rex!
I've loved this video from the first time I ever saw it.. The song makes my list of my top 10 songs of all time and this video pulls out all the stops. This is probably my favorite video of all time.
"Streets of Fire" is probably the most under-rated sleeper movie of all time. Unfortunately for the movie, it was released the same weekend as "Star Trek III: The Search for Spock" which HAD to have taken some of the wind out of its box-office sales. But nobody -- not even the critics -- could knock the seriously great music from the film. Another song from SoF, "I Can Dream About You" made it to #6 on the Billboard chart that year.

ESSA MUSICA SIGUINIFICOU MUITO PARA MIM, MARCOU MINHA INFANCIA, SERA QUE A VOZ É DE BONNIE TAYLOR? EU Ñ CONSIGO GOSTAR MUITO DAS MUSICAS DE AGORA FIQUEI NOS 80.
Does anyone look stuff up? Diane Lane never did the vocals on this. "Jimmy Iovine produced five of the songs for the film and the soundtrack album.[2] For Ellen Aim's singing voice, he combined the voices of Laurie Sargent and Holly Sherwood." Via Wiki.
Saw her sing in 6pack and you can hear she can handle this. Spent my life singing and you would be shocked about the powerful voices that can come out of the smallest mousiest girls. I have been floored to hear some of my own friends who could barely speak to another person go into almost a trance and give a performance you would never believe.
One of the best stupid movies ever.. I love this song, by the way!

@msnetta apparently they don't, so you have to show them, because they are to lazy to do it themselves.
