have a look at the top 30 today, how could anything go so wrong it just doesnt seem possible, a whole list of appear once nobody's, what on earth happened i cant grasp it ?
Status Quo like most of those that appeared on TOTP had to mime, however it has to be said it was in a time and I was there where fashion sense was completely missing. Noel Edmonds wears a wig today doesn't he he must be over 60?
Great time for music 1973 I was 18 incidentally the start of the Quo is like that song that goes 'stop the rot don't stop the rot'
Anyway 1972 we had all the 60s with the Beatles Kinks Stones Who Cream Zombies and loads like that plus Motown Otis Redding and just before all that kicked of there was Elvis Eddie Cochran etal and then came Bowie Trex Eltion John ELO and then punk was brill with Ramones leading the charge. 1973 rocks and don't forget Northern Soul and people like Tammy Lynn
@jnmklo9 Hi it's "stop the Rock" by Apollo 440. Great performance by the mighty Quo. Not live, obviously, but what a breath of fresh air. Still sounds superb today.
What a time in music! Perry Como sharing the charts with David Bowie! LOL! This was back when kids and their parents listened to totally different types of music. Now everyone listens to the same Top 40!
@torresongs2 Not every one mate :), im 16 nd i have there most of that chart on my ipod aha, nd there old drummer comes in and does workshops for schools, so most of my friends know who these artists are, theres hope yet man!! :)

"Nutbush City Limits" over the charts, obviously.
Simon Mayo actually played "Caroline" on Radio 1 as a sly gesture to those who accused the station of "banning" Quo in 1996. Happily, it was a one-off.
But the main title line says:
Status Quo - Caroline (HQ) |TOTP 27-09-1973|
Whilst Nutbush is a good record, it's not quite what I expected.

I asked my Grandma to buy me a Status Quo cassette (as a present) when I was in the forth year of Junior School. She did and I still love status Qou!

You've got to get 2 and a half minutes into the video before you get the Quo.
