  • Rolling Stones did this about 40 years ago on one of their records. Real cool. By the way, the world seems to love music from Youtube, but you go on the streets and you people hate everybody all of a sudden. Probably cause all the good people stay at home listening to records LOL.

  • the sex pistols wtf? i hate when old f@cks think music sux just because the youth are playing it or it's NEW.

  • Love love love!!! I def would have stopped ;)

  • 24 people have never met a down home girl

  • Great Raw Bluegrass that the City folk is just ignoring.

  • Love that old man, he's having a great time

  • "Are you the Sex Pistols?" LOL Don't think he was a native New Yorker! LOL

  • It's nice to stop and just listen to music. No harm in taking time in your day to relax and get some culture. People are just in a hurry these days.

  • So Sorry to read that WILLIE WATSON singing Lead vocal on this has parted ways with the band or vice-versa..I read it on O.C.M.S. link..On a better note..CRITTER Fuqua, an original member has returned to the band. I am sure gonna miss Willie Watson..

  • that old man made my day

  • LOVE this tune ...and this BAND! THIS STUFF IS THE SHIZNIT.

  • pathetic bullshit.

  • Yeah Babee

  • By G00ley him ...poor thang so Ugly God gave him a voice to make us wemem swell ......

  • I feel bad for the guy carrying the stand up around, haha, those things are something else to lug around.

  • Sex Pistols? How could you tell? By just looking at them. LMFAO great way to finish the vid.

  • Kinda sounds like Bob Dylan. These guys are great. Glad to see the resurgence in bluegrass/americana style music. Mumford and Sons are another great band.

  • @doc2b77 funny you say that! Their most famous song is called 'Wagon Wheel' and it is derived from a dylan song segment from an old western 'pat garret and billy the kid' (check me on that). M&s is a great band, i agree.

  • that old dude is jammin

  • that old guy likes it

  • hahaha "are these the sex pistols?"

  • do these guy have an album out???

  • @regalcharger yes they have 6 full length albums

  • i knew a girl like that an i liked it

  • Damn! I love this band.

  • Man I would have joined in with my big ole wine jug and did the jig.

  • Like Hank Williams Jr. said "they never smile or say a word, there all to busy trying to make an extra dime"

  • @Whitetrashrodeo that's how you know it's good bluegrass.

  • @Whitetrashrodeo Amen to that!

  • Most New Yorkers wouldn't know good music if it was getting played for them live in dowtown Manhattan...... Ohh wait, this is the case right here

  • @TitusUSA10 I'm with you on that

  • @TitusUSA10 Or maybe they just have shit to do and are used to people playing music on the streets all the time since, you know, its New York City.

  • @TitusUSA10 hm, ignorance.

  • @TitusUSA10 Generalizations are horrible. I'm a New Yorker, and I can appreciate this. You wouldn't like somebody saying that southerners all drink moonshine, hang negroes and have no teeth.

  • @dronabinol42 Truth is they already say that biggest freakin stereotype ever

  • @dronabinol42 Or however you say it

  • @dronabinol42 They do though....

  • not only do i love the comment at the end by the old man, but i love their reaction, the fact that they left it in the video, and the old man!

  • wait im confused... theres dislikes?

  • couple of them are from Watkins Glen, NY, some of the members are from Virgina. Great music. Check out the railroad tour!

  • couple of them are from Watkins Glen, NY, some of the members are from Virgina. Great music. Check out the railroad tour!

  • they used to busk here in my hometown of Boone, NC. No dept stores here I can assure you of that. They were essentially discovered by Doc Watson and given a shot.

  • Where are these guys from ?

  • @Foxygirldu60 I think I remember hearing that they all met up in upstate NY actually, but I believe their southern boys... Sorry, can't remember too many specifics, but hit up their website it's all up there, they've got a really cool story actually, these guys were playing for a while anywhere they could, sometimes just for spare change, just for the love of the music... Finally got discovered playing outside of a dept. store i think... It's a sick story, you should check it out

  • manila shirt FTW

  • Damn... I play harp and have Hohner harmonicas all over the place. I did not realize they made 6 strings... dobros at that. Badass!! One of my all time favorite OCMS tunes. After 3 live performances they continue to amaze me! God bless

  • Great rendition!

  • Not bad, Tom Petty has the fullest, most rockin version though

  • Cop: "You guise aah doin' a good jaab, playin' good music...but, someone could get heht."

  • And thier harp player, whoever he is (i just found out about this group) he is a joy to listen to, and i dont usually like harp music but this guy and little walter are great

  • oh visions of haight and ashbury

  • I`m from a little village in England .... & I have all thier Cd`s

  • Dont know what to think. Here I am a guy from the iner city in Cleveland Ohio raised on hip hop and hard rock. And yet This stuff comes on and I just feel the this music so much.... My friends say its my inner Hillbilly trying to come out. I say its just good music .

  • @The19Chris77 its because true music lovers appreciate all styles :]

  • Taj Mahal and the Rolling Stones do good versions of this song, but these guys sound more believable.

  • Taj Mahal and the Rollingstone do good versions of this song, but these guys sound more believable.

  • it is the "un-couthness" of this song that puts it on my fave list...these guys r awesome

  • whatever the genre it represents a part of americana that has been forgotten in the mainstram prevelance of todays shitty music. big ups to these guys.

  • love these guys! they play the best music! could listen to them all day!!!!

  • charlie sheen selling news papers?

  • @tabuma that a good one !LOLl Uncle Charlie looks a bit tired though...wonder why , (( - :

  • Bringin some good ol' bluegrass to NYC! keep it up yall!

  • @BlueridgeFantasy it isn't bluegrass.

  • @chrometanned then what the hell you call it

  • @countrytillidie93 Its more or less 'Old Timey' . Same instruments but different style.

  • @chrometanned

It's kind of ridiculous to claim Old Crow doesn't have bluegrass in their music...I understand if your intention is to avoid pigeonholing them in a particular genre but bluegrass is definitely one of their roots (among many other genres)

  • y'all can take the girl outta rednedck country...but y'all caint take the redneck country outta the girl!!!

  • Just seen these guys at Papa Joe's BanjoBque in South Carolina. They burned up the stage, FANTASTIC!, can't wait to see them again.

  • @scouser12 i'd kill to see em. i've been followin em since they started but i live in upstate NY, and they basically out of my reach. grrrrrrr.

  • I sure could use some romance for $1 XD

  • How cool is it that the Old Timer and myself (27yo) both like this song.

  • How the fuck are people walking by that and not stopping to listen!! What the hell??

  • @iraclay because its NYC.... live music is on the streets everyday!

  • @iraclay City folk

  • @TheYoungFisher96 That's the truth!

  • @iraclay They have lives?

  • @indieindy So if you have a life you cant stop for 4 minutes to watch a song? that makes alot of sense.

  • @iraclay It does make a lot of sense, thank you for proving my point.

  • Id be Dancin my Ass off

  • @iraclay its nyc, no one stop for anybody, we have places to be..it still is a great song and band..but trust me they were apriciated the music it was just on the run, like the cop said they were good. we just enjoid it in a diff way others are acustom too.

  • Great song, great vid. I love the old man at the end.

  • "Are these the Sex Pistols?" - old man at the end of the video... Yeah, baby, we're the Sex Pistols...

  • anyone know what harp he's playing??? or at least what kind?? darn i never understand what key/type-of-harp makes this sound!!

  • @ILmoriz33 The song is in the key of A, so he' s playing cross harp on a D harmonica.

  • @blahblahy0y0 bare knowledge. appreciated from someone who wishes they were musically gifted.

  • no drums thats the shit you can still fell it

  • gotta love the stones

  • goot love the stones

  • come down south, where ppl appreciate music like this!!!

  • Man I love these guys . Being a music lover I listen to everything from Rap to classical. Its good to kno that there are still artists that are trying to keep that Old downhome foulk sound that is truely American. If you are a true music lover , these guys are gonna reach down and pull raw emoyion outta you. Whther it be anger, sadness , guilt or even hatred, these guys have what it takes to touch you down deep.

  • i'm a punk rocker, but i love this music. this is as raw as music can get and i love it

    and the sex pistols

  • that cop in the beginning of the video made 18 different profiles...to dislike it 18 times

  • 18 people aren't down home

  • I LOVE OCMS!! This is my fav song by them! Though I think that Willie Watson reminds me a lot of Jim Morrison of the Doors. I love the way he sings!

  • Sex Pistols best song by far.

  • Are these the sex pistols?

    How could you tell.

    hahahaha

  • not impressed...sounds like early Dylan.

  • @ajaben Wow! Have you listened to much of OCMS? You should, Dylan is a great influence on them, but they have a sound all their own! And by the way, Ketch is by far a better harp player than Dylan, that tyhere sets them apart on this song! Bob Dylan is still one of my all time favorites though, and if you think these guys sound like them, then you should be impressed!

  • @HarpinLongboarder I guess that's it...I DON'T like Dylan. no disrespect intended. Also sounds like they're covering the Stones version instead of the much better (just my opinion, of course) original by Alvin Robinson

  • For the love of MUSIC,more than money. It's GREAT to know that their is still something genuine out there.

  • @OldTroll11 Well put my friend. this band has restored a lot of faith in many

  • Man I like this song.

  • right on! sid and johnny started the punk revolution! Oh, this isn't the sex pistols? My bad.

  • k so what key is the harmonica in this song??

  • @harvestmoon533 D-harp in 2nd position (song is in the key of A). Fun tune to jam along to...

  • I am a classically trained professional musician and I love this group. What gets played on radio waves these days are just so nauseatingly over-produced/glossied up. But music and musicians like this group still gives me some hope... and that elderly gentleman's comment was just priceless!!!
