I loved this commercial. I have a set of these books. I went to e-bay to see what they were worth today, and they're quite inexpensive. Anyone looking to pick them up should check e-bay.

As a child I use to stop whatever I was doing when this commerical came on just to watch it. Been tryin to find those books since I was young. This is the first time I have seen that commerical in probably 20 years

I remember the kicker to one of these was this pale (but attractive) woman staring into the camera and saying something like "Just because you've never seen a witch... doesn't mean they don't exist" (CHILLS!)
u should check out my new book called Bloody Mary. the scenes in it are just as chilling. during its creation i had to look over my shoulder and up at the ceiling several times because the story frightened me lol. check out the promotion video on my page. it will scare you lol

Found some back at a used bookstore... Superb volume.
Never saw this commercial back in the days, it's fun to revisit the marketing campaign as I rediscover these book!

I only have 8. I thought that was all there were. My mom didn't order them from the commercial though, she got them somewhere else.

Lol, same here. "Night creatures" and "Ghosts" were the worst for that. Now some of the stuff is still pretty creepy but it doesn't scare me.

Yeah, I remember this commercial (wasn't there a time life series with mystery authors too, like Agatha Christie?) My mom hated this commercial. LOL!
