nice job....again the thing about the headstock ....that would only be my only comment....other than that it looks great....good job...i am about to build a pb1 from scratch so i am glad you posted this vid...
@edgeofsins - I think by the time I finished buying all the paint, some tools that I needed, sandpaper, tack cloths and so on it was about 200GBP. I still have the tools and equipment to use on my next project (a Butterscotch Telecaster). The point being not so much the money, but you actually get what YOU want, plus the satisfaction of achieving the build. I could have bought a Budget Jazz bass for the money I guess. Paint was probably the most costly element.
@MonkeyManBlues I have a few tracks on Myspace where I used the bass and a coupel of tracks on Youtube too.... I don't have a bass amp, I just use it for recording, but it sounds like a Pukka J-Bass.
rock on man that looks great!!!! the video is awesome ,you got a good head on your shoulders it looks like it has alot of thought put into it, im impressed :D you rock!

the way you cut the headstock kinda sucked... the part of it that is supposed to be flat is kinda bumpy
nothing42697 1 year ago

@Stratboy999
I like the wooden look though anyways. Maybe add some polish though so its not too plain.
edgeofsins 1 year ago
@edgeofsins These kits tend to be basswood / Maple so not a lot of Grain to be had. Could always put on a veneer top though.

It helps the spray go on a little more smoothly and cuts down on sputtering. It seemes to work.
