  • nice job....again the thing about the headstock ....that would only be my only comment....other than that it looks great....good job...i am about to build a pb1 from scratch so i am glad you posted this vid...

  • hey on the one i made the strings buzz. i tried adjusting the nut, but it didnt do anything. i like the song too dude.

  • great job mate! brilliant.

  • @kilvo000 Thanks a lot

  • the way you cut the headstock kinda sucked... the part of it that is supposed to be flat is kinda bumpy

  • @nothing42697 i know huh? all that effort and use a kitchen knife to cut the headstock....oh well.....

  • Very nice!

  • Nice video. We've featured it in Guitar Kit Builder online magazine. Please let us know if you have any objections.

  • @guitarkitbuilder No objection. Thanks.

  • compa' si fatt na merda !

  • So how much are these kits compared to just buying a full guitar?

  • @edgeofsins - I think by the time I finished buying all the paint, some tools that I needed, sandpaper, tack cloths and so on it was about 200GBP. I still have the tools and equipment to use on my next project (a Butterscotch Telecaster). The point being not so much the money, but you actually get what YOU want, plus the satisfaction of achieving the build. I could have bought a Budget Jazz bass for the money I guess. Paint was probably the most costly element.

  • @Stratboy999

I like the wooden look though anyways. Maybe add some polish though so its not too plain.

  • @edgeofsins These kits tend to be basswood / Maple so not a lot of Grain to be had. Could always put on a veneer top though.

  • Thanks for telling me

  • @giovannimontes27 Also you can getthem on ebay. do a google search on dn-store - Jazz bass kits for 85 GBP + 25 GBP postage. pretty good deal.

  • That's awsome where did u get get the package?

  • @giovannimontes27 w w w. diyguitarshop .co . uk

  • Do you have a vid of how it sounds?

  • @MonkeyManBlues I have a few tracks on Myspace where I used the bass and a coupel of tracks on Youtube too.... I don't have a bass amp, I just use it for recording, but it sounds like a Pukka J-Bass.

  • Cool guitar! cool song!

  • great job sir

  • Thanks. Hoping to build a rickenbacker kit in the nearfuture. Post a vid when you do your build. Love to see it.

  • Where can you buy a rickenbacker kit?

  • Never heard of that warming up trick, gotta try that. Thanks!

  • It helps the spray go on a little more smoothly and cuts down on sputtering. It seemes to work.
