Samsung is the first company to make 3d tv. It can be used as regular tv or high def. The glasses can be purchased through samsung or after market. But these days, there are many top companies that are coming out with 3d. Since this is the first gen 3d tv. It will take few years to take the bug out.

I think it's kinda messed that all this is coming out now. I know alot of ppl who burnd cash just on a regular 40' plasma or LCD tv. As cool as this is going to be I think 1 of 2 things will happen. 1 no one will buy it cause they just got a new tv or 2 these tvs' are going to be too exspensive. Thats not to mention buying a 3d bluray player. so if u already have all this its up to u if your going to want too burn ur cash all over again. I also heard the glasses alone are going for $150 a piece

IMO Auto 3D tv's are gonna be much bigger and better than the 3Dtv's which require you to wear glasses.

cool. Can you turn anything into 3D or will it only work with stuff already in 3d format? Also what is your contrast ratio, and any other specs you may be able to list?

Nope that will not be possible...but soon there will be alot of 3D material and u need the glasses from samsung and the software then you play it from the pc with HDMI cable ! the contrast ratio is 1 to a million i think.. its absolutely stunning ! especialy in blue ray mode with 24hz so it match the 24 fps.. and it accepts up to 1080p ! really good tv.. check more on samsungs homepage ! its the 450 series

My samsung lcd tv started the CLICKING on and off .Each day it would get worse and now it stoped working altogether. My set is just over a year old and out of warranty. I did maltyful's google search on the clicking and found out that I'm not alone and thousands of other samsung customers are screwed just like me. I will never buy samsung again and tell everyone else to stay away from samsung.

try going to korea and buy one. all the ones exported are often heaps more crap than what they have in korea. i used to live in korea, now moved to australia. most of samsung products are really bad here, and the same model would be hell good in korea. i dunno why they do it but they should make it better overseas :S

Samsung tvs are junk and the parts start to burn up just after the warranty expires (about 18 months). Do a good web search on ALL samsung models and find out why thousands of samsung customers are screwed and pissed off big time with this company and the CRAP they sell.

I just wish people who have those issues would post it in the proper place, and not in a video where people SHOULD be discussing how cool 3D-at-home is.

no 3d works i got 2 3d samsung tv were i work and the both work only the pc monitor had problems at the begin but they a damn sweet watch omost every day movies on them wen i work

Don't laugh... you'd be surprised who's shown interest in improving these eyewear designs. They are hilarious to look at now, but trust me there are many plans to improve these... especially as gaming takes off in the 3D world.

Thanks terminatorbob... I know that Samsung has come quite a bit in our Plasma technology in the past few years and it is good to hear your comments agree with that. Our 2008 line up had incredible feedback at CES this year, not only this 3D feature, but also the improvements in Noise Reduction and Picture Quality... not to mention the cosmetic plans.

I don't need to "Google" anything. The reason Samsung got in the market is really simple., the Japanese gods like Panasonic, Sony, and Hitachi made it possible for them by NOT using their effective dumping-price practices which was very effective in the past to destroy the American-made TV industry.

P.S. my comment is almost a year old. Are you that desperate to defend them and convince yourself they are a "good brand" that you need to reply to it? Pathetic!
