The lower two coins are connected by a short piece of invisible thread. The top one of these is pulled from under the 9 of clubs when he pushes the 6 of hearts down. The 9 of clubs bent to allow this. The top coin is magnetic and has a court card circle design on its lower side to blend in with the face of the Jack of clubs. This is wiped off onto the table in the final move. Coins can't be examined.
