@cindyaniston it looks digital yeah but this is actually a stop-motion: different photos taken the one after the other and shown at a speed of 24 fps giving a high-detailled view of Saturn .. Nobody has ever seen Saturn in real life, that's why it looks digital.
I'm just wondering why our moon does not have dark poles coming from it. This shit is an ongoing problem with people who try and convince others of their belief in a system. goverment, religion, program. All the real photos of hubble are doctered and enhanced made to look way more colorful then they really are. But this is just another nerd trying to be someone.
It appears fake even though I know it probably isnt. It just has a weird look to it. If you see a image of earth, it looks like earth, but this looks more like a computer graphic image. idk what to think of it.
@shfbdfi1273 Of course it's arguable that sound exists in space, but its so slow that listening for a sound all the way from earth is futile. a molecule would need to reach another and then reach earth which could take years or......... never happen at all :/ thats why they dont have microphones
What's fake? Saturn? Or Hubble? Some idjit can't understand the relative brightness of a planet in the sun vs. stars much further away? Duhh, a camera just isn't able to handle such a wide contrast in exposures!
@12stringsforme but are you sure that saturn has transperency so that i can see moons right through it ... i tell you .. this is fake :) For explonation of my comment .. can you see moon when you look down on the ground in the middle of the day ? :)
The fuck with the little moons being exactly on the axis of the disk & throwing shadows --haha. Tells about a mysterious flat equatorial axis of power every spinning system/body has, just like the solar system lays mostly on a flat plane...
Pity they don't show these ENORMOUS (thousands of miles tall) spikes that are built sticking perpendicularly from a place on the saturn's ring!
@coollat17 no you're the retard- the stars are actually much brighter in space, only you cant see them in this image because the brightness of saturn way over powers the brightness of the backgrounds stars!
@YoFreshman Dude, Give me a Billion or however much they paid for that thing and I'll get a disposable camera picture through a telescope that is better
@lulem400 You never said give you a billion dollars, with that, im sure you could, but there is only a handful of telescopes more powerful than the hubble. You couldn't film this from earth.
@RichieW i know drink some harp you poor pathetic leprechaun - might help dry your tears up , just curious, i bet your friends call you Dick for short ? or just short Dick?
This video is from an official Hubble press release. I watched it in quicktime directly from the Hubble News site. If you are going to declare something "fake" you might want to bother looking into it for five minutes. :)
This vid was also posted by "New Scientists" so I doubt it is some sort of elaborate fake. Also, if you want to see pictures from Hubble you can go to the official site.
hi. i live in illinois. sometime in may or june i saw a spot in the early night sky (very early...like probably very shortly after sunset) that seemed extra bright. i noticed it there a few nights in a row. it's possible that one of the dippers (big or small) was sort of pointing at it (i think the non-handle end - so the spoon end - was pointing at it). was this a planet? thanks.
You're welcome. When Venus is visible it is brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. At the right time, it can be seen just before sunrise or just around sunset for a relatively short time (since it orbits closer to the sun than earth).
also Obama just passed a budget for nasa adding 6 billion dollar over 5 years, Nasa also has plans to put a man on the poles of Mars by 2035. im not a big Obama fan but i hope this is true. once agin love the video, i believe its real, because unlike the disbelievers i have tested this theory myself by buying a telescope!!! thanks again keep them comming
and i read someone commenting about Hubble going into the ocean in 2013, well good news supposedly Obama will be keeping this program going they will be doing repairs and is expected to be in use till 2020, this is when the new scope with an even larger mirror is to arrive.
This is really cool video. i love the hubble, i just bought my first telescope a celestron nexstar 5, and i have seen saturn through it and all i can say is this video is a beautiful timelapse done by a great telescope. i can see pretty clear through my scope with a focal of 1250 a 2x barlow and a meade 7.5 ultima, so hubble images must be this outstanding. thanks for the post!!
you people who say this is fake must be a bunch on uneducated people. I can see Saturn and a few moons with my 10" telescope FROM EARTH, which means that the light must pass through our atmosphere, which means the quality won't be as good as a telescope in space, such as the Hubble. Now with my 10", A TEN INCH!, from earth, i can see a pretty clear and sharp image of Saturn, can you imagine an 8 feet telescope like the Hubble? seriously, if you're ignorant, at least don't make stupid comments.
I back you on this one dude! Man geez your also generous with your 10 inch telescope :P .i see saturn and the ring with my dauhters EDU science telescope wich is 60mm ;P You see people that think that its fake have nothing more to say since they are UNEDUCATED!
look carefully shadows left by satellites on the planet rings .. is extraordinary, this telescope in 2013 will be thrown in the ocean ... I'd better do it one thousand gift
Hubble is very capable of a capture such as this. In fact, seeing as Hubble wasn't designed as a planetary instrument, I willing to bet the only reason they trained the scope on the planet was because they knew it's moons would leave shadows on the rings.
There's a mountain of evidence that the Apollo moon missions were faked. I posted a partial summary of it on a science forum. Google "The Naked Scientists". In the "New Theories" section of the forum there's a thread entitled "Did We Land on the Moon?". The summary is on page 15. It's the 7th post from the top.
People who still think they went to the moon simply haven't seen the hoax evidence yet.
Well with all the TRILLIONS of dollars NASA has squandered over the years, since the space race... we get some videos like this. Some of them in false color.
I've heard very strong evidence that mars is mostly a blue sky planet and very similar in color to our own deserts.. Not this red-filter image garbage they feed us.
Anyhow, facts are, the original shuttle was suppose to be single vehicle with $1K per pound. In '01 they canceled the X-33 which was suppose to be $1K not $10K per pound!
Yes, TRILLIONS of dollars. Especially if you look at money spent from the space race and convert it to todays inflation. And there are BLUE SKIES on mars, not this red-filter crap they put over everything after its been photoshopped by NASA. Google it.
YOU go back to school and pay $35,000 a year for tuition and learn how to be a good slave and learn to not question anything and just keep your mouth shut and die in debt. You be a brainwashed slave, MORON!
Yes, it would be reddish orange from that the rover has shown (and certainly not blue as the original poster suggested). From a telescope, the planet is certainly reddish. I'm not a professional astronomer either :) But I find it hilarious when people come on youtube after watching some conspiracy theory documentary, and try an enlighten us about something like the colour of Mars - when a cheap telescope can debunk it in seconds.
There are blue-grey skies on Mars, yes, at dawn and sunset, that's all. Not believing in bullshit conspiracy theories doesn't necessarily make people brainwashed slaves. Maybe you also believe in the 'sprinkler rainbow conspiracy'? (check that out on youtube)
Nice video, Saturn is more than 800 times the volume of the Earth. Saturn is more than 9 1/2 AU from the Sun and has about 60 or so known moon. Saturn is moslty thick gas.
how come you can see the stars through the planet in this video, but not in the second? And what are the wierd unatural lines going through the rings?
PS. Please don't blow up at me, I'm not trying to disprove this video, only trying to learn.
No problem mate. It's very easy: Those aren't stars if you look closely. Those are some of the several moons that orbit Saturn.
About the lines. They are not unnatural. Look at the shadow the planet itself casts on it's rings. Now compare the angle of that shadow with the "lines". They're in the exact same allignment. Those lines are in fact the Shadows of the moons. Follow the orbit of the moons closely and you can see it.
someone showed me a phot of jupiter and it was crystal clear like this. He didnt use a telescope, just camera kitt. Is it possible?? wouldnt it be blurry ect,due to earth atmosphere?
You're right, not possible even with the best gear. Clear pictures of Saturn come from telescopes in space and the really sharp ones (as sharp as this computer simulation) come from probes that have been sent near the planet.
Hay it's not a satellite yha dumbass. Look all around you're screen, and you'll see more of them. Don't worry I'll walt for you......dune yet? OK sorry...... Alright, so you did see them moving. Those lines are the shadows of Saturns moons. A satellite would be extremely to small for it's shadows.
wait i dont get what that black line is that goes across the rings, and then becomes a dot on the planet. Surely it cant be the satelite because the shadow cast on the planet is way too big.
Saturn's rings are almost 21 kilometers thick and 123,000 kilometers wide. They are made of rocks that rang in size from a speck of dust to the size of a large building.
Sounds just like the moon landing conspiracy theorists. Go outside in the streetlights and try to take a picture of the stars...no wait, try and see if you can even FUCKING SEE THEM WITH YOUR OWN GODDAMN EYES. You can't in the glare of the bright light. Saturn is bright because of reflected sunlight. Go get an education or at least read Wikipedia or something. Jesus Christ.
your title "OMGOMGOMG...." is Hilarious made me laugh for hours....back to the video ....l dont know if it is fake or not. Starts would not be visible cuz their light is not too strong and besides the quality of the camera doesnt seem to be very good.
It's not fake. This is what it looks like when Hubble sees something nearly a billion miles away. I think the bluish colors on Saturn may be false coloring perhaps to show different cloud compositions, but I can't be sure. I know it's not done in fucking Celestia because in Celestia the moons won't cast shadows on the rings like that. I really don't understand why it's so hard to believe that this is real. But hey, I'm just a brainwashed NWO slave, so I don't know shit.
God you have a great sense of humor! Yeah, I hate conspiracy theorists too. ;) I was hoping you were a chick, but I looked on your channel and you're not...
Love you man....not like in a gay way, you're just funny as FUCK. :P
So awesome! I wish I would be alive in 1,000 years when ,hopefully, human technology can travel to other planets or galaxys. I realize that Saturn is a gas planet, but I would love to orbit the planet.
Is this a real life shot? If so thats awesome looks like its been echanced a bit but i guess you would have to since its pitch black out there

Isn't a moon a type of satellite?
starsoffyre 3 years ago
yes
ultimategoobah 3 years ago
Then why does agentD99 say that its not a satellite, but a moon? o_0
starsoffyre 3 years ago
Here is one definition for the word satellite Astronomy. A celestial body that orbits a planet; a moon. I guess he was told differently
ultimategoobah 3 years ago 3
wait i dont get what that black line is that goes across the rings, and then becomes a dot on the planet. Surely it cant be the satelite because the shadow cast on the planet is way too big.
RamtinHaji 3 years ago
BS the sattelites have a black rod attached to them, Nice try NASA
funguy661 3 years ago
it's a shadow. Something you can try for yourself outside if the sun's out.

Saturn's rings are almost 21 kilometers thick and 123,000 kilometers wide. They are made of rocks that rang in size from a speck of dust to the size of a large building.

"OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!! NO STARS!!! FAKE!!!"

Vvexplorer 3 years ago
It's not fake. This is what it looks like when Hubble sees something nearly a billion miles away. I think the bluish colors on Saturn may be false coloring perhaps to show different cloud compositions, but I can't be sure. I know it's not done in fucking Celestia because in Celestia the moons won't cast shadows on the rings like that. I really don't understand why it's so hard to believe that this is real. But hey, I'm just a brainwashed NWO slave, so I don't know shit.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!@"brainwashed NWO slave"!!! XD
God you have a great sense of humor! Yeah, I hate conspiracy theorists too. ;) I was hoping you were a chick, but I looked on your channel and you're not...

Its fake, the used a program like Celestia, i font know, but its fake. Why dont you see more stars?
MoacirFB 3 years ago
So awesome! I wish I would be alive in 1,000 years when ,hopefully, human technology can travel to other planets or galaxys. I realize that Saturn is a gas planet, but I would love to orbit the planet.
