  • Now this is TONE !!!!!

  • BURRRRRRRRNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice job bro, totally nailed that intro!

  • This amp sounds great. :O at least it seems so from this video.

  • Dude, this is proof that you don't need to buy the most high gain amp on the market to get ballsy fuckin' tone. Wish more people thought like you, there'd be a lot better sounding guitar players around.

  • what's the modification you have on this?

  • Stones intro was epic.

  • Someone has BANK

  • wicked cover of paint it black :) sounds like the WASP cover.

  • Killer tone bro.

  • Righteous.

  • What kind of mods did you do to your plexi? :)

  • are you tuned a half step down on this? cause when you first started playing it sound sick

  • fucking good ZW style :p ... MXR OD sounds pretty good too :) ... anyways killer stack and killer skills :) keep on rocking man :)

    Cheers from Belgium :)

  • @Fatal1ty007 Zakk overdrives are actually a really good dirt box. The build quality is a little weak but it sounds great into a Marshall.

  • what's the song at the beginning that you play?

  • At the start of the video it's an original. Then when it goes to live it's "Paint it black" by The Rolling Stones.

  • thanks :)

  • what's the song you play at the beginning?

  • Modded 1959slp w/ overdrive not the 1959HW.

  • @rclegg which is better modded or original slp?

  • That cromatic riff at 4:02 is fucking killer.

  • What does the gain mod consist of? Sounds Killer.

  • awesome

  • Great guitar, great amp and great guitarrist. awesome!!!!! 5*

  • I think I've seen you playing 'round town. Great playing bro. Cheers!

  • woow Ryan, this is THE sound of rock.

I like the way you play...

Cpuld you tell us who did the mod on your Marshall?

    Thanks

  • The Mod on the amp was done by a guy in Calgary named John McIntyre.

  • paint it black?

  • I thought about the same rig but Gibson Les Paul Classic with Seymour Duncan Alnico 2 pro pickups, a Marshall 1959 SLP with a Marshall 1960 AV a 4x12.

  • whats the riff from at 3:43? sounds awesome

  • Drop D riff I made up on the spot but listening back kinda sounds like a Pantera type riff.

  • Cascade mod an master volume?

  • at last someone who can really show what this amp can do

    gr8 playin man

  • I just saw Green Day tonight and was talkin to the Guitar Techs, This is the amp that they use.

  • Hey man what mod did you have done to your Marshall 1959SLP?? Killer playing man!!

  • That song is called Paint it Black. Originally by the rolling stones.

  • Awsome playing!! Whats that song you played at 45 - 1 25?

  • 'Burn' is one of the coolest riffs ever! Great playing.

  • does anyone know where i can order a 1959slp and the cost? thanks.

  • See ebay, you can get some pretty good deals

  • @TheFamousWaffle

If you have to ask, you probably can't afford it

  • active or inactive emg's?

  • active emg's

  • SICK SICK SICK TONE

  • how loud is that? do your greenbacks flub up at gig volumes?

  • Not very loud, maybe around 1.5 on the volume. I haven't gigged with this cab yet so can't comment on the flub factor.

  • How do you control the volume?

  • probably with the volume control....

  • @ruffles272 haha funny comment but usualy volume of plexi is controlled wd a power attenuator that u buy

  • Yeah i know i just couldn't resist lol

  • LOL!

  • would this be a good heavy metal amp?

  • You would have to throw a pedal in front of it...I'd say yes for metal. But it has to be loud.

  • Put a PPIMV in it and u get some gain at low volume. I wouldnt call it a heavy metal amp, its more about lower gain with tone.

  • if your going for like a iron maiden sort of sound... yes... but again it has to been very loud.. very

  • some sicknasty tone man

  • Great tone !

  • That's killer tone. Is most of the gain from the amp mod or the MXR Wylde overdrive pedal? Possibly post a clip of amp one it's own?

    thanks

  • Most of the gain is from the amp, the overdrive add a slight boost. The amp has the perfect amount of gain on its own with Emgs for me. The pedal just pushes it over the edge. I'll try to get better vids up soon.

  • YEAH! That amp sounds badass. The room reverb adds a nice touch. Beautiful Classic by the way

  • Comment removed

  • Yes its a reissue...I agree in not modding vintage amps.

  • Comment removed

  • what mods were done?

  • Gain mod, Mid boost mod, Power cut mod and FX loop.

  • Such a wonderful guitar!

You can also get this guitar from the follwoing site at wholesale price.

    guitarvillage com cn

  • haha sounds alot like Wylde, Slash and Rhoads! Very nice, excellent amp. 5/5

  • wauu friend who sound undoubtedly change my jcm2000 by this amplifier, whether it is sound, but have told me that in order to make the most low-volume, I have to install a potentiometer master volume ...

  • jeeeeeeeeeeez excellent tone ! its the perfect tone i'm looking for...

  • Is the reissue version ?

  • What a monster!

  • whoa! that was great man keep it up!

  • Very cool! Excellent tone and playing! Rock on!

  • Baddass. Thats a nice amp. Plexis are cool shit.

  • Was that Rolling Stones at the beginning?

  • Ya kinda my own version of 'Paint it Black'.

  • it sounds really good dude, what modds did you say you did on your Marshall?

  • Thanks for the comments. The presence knob was changed to a push/pull preamp gain. Effects loop was added, pull boost midrange knob that I don't use and switchable wattage from 50 to 100 watts. I purchased it with the modds and is now my main amp.

  • How much did you pay for it, i love the tone coming from that amp. How does it handle distortion?

  • I paid about $1000 used and it handles distortion fantastic. I use either the distortion from the amp or through a pedal in front of it.

  • @rclegg hi mate gr8 video...but i wana take ur opinion in smthn...i have a choice between buyin a 1987xl reissue brand new for 1000$ and a 73 plexi used vintage for the same price....which one should i pick and why?

  • Is the Fx Loop a tube type?

  • Sick!

  • nice shit! do you think the 1960ax cab can handle a peavey valveking of 100 watts?

  • no. 4 25w speakers are not good for a 100w amp.

  • It should be able to I would think because their made for 100 watt Marshalls.

  • yeah, I know now. I tried it with a 100 watt jcm800 and they told me that when speakers have low wattage and are driven harder, they put out better sound.

  • beautiful sound..that marshall is fuckin' great!

  • what kind of mod you have on that amp?

  • wow man thats some good shit right there!!

    nice guitar bro!!
