@bilapsice Witchcraft, Graveyard or The Sword to name the more known bands . Also my own old band Panteon, from the less known ones. :) the rock spirit is still strong!
I really love the Edgar Broughton sound. It´s a kind of raw and honest garage rock. Actually I don´t now when this track was released but it must have been in the very beginning of the 70s. I´m a big fan of rock music from the 60s and EB band must have their roots in that period. The 60s!!! One of my f......g good unknown band was THE ZETTLERS. Listen to their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "Beautiful Delilah" Irresistible bloody "drive".
Great sound. We supported them in the eighties (along with The Troggs and British Lions - a good year). I played this album til the grooves wore out. Hearing it again now, there is so much energy, this can't have been the hippy shit the punks were railing against. If only rock had this much life today... Shredding? WTF?
@aquinoestanadie - nothing obscure about this lot - they were a big band in the early seventies - two top forty singles - and two top thirty albums in the UK - and they were a big headline act on the live circuit.
@Detoxx23 This was made ca 30 years ago. Can you make music today that people will listen to 30 years from now? Please load it up on u tube so we all can hear your music.

"This track from their 1971 self titled album (the one with all the meat on the cover) never fails to knock me out. It seems to me that when America turned towards introspective singer songwriters at the turn of the decade, Britain was on the verge of something more gritty and politically aware which would eventually mutate into punk, and this to me is a great example of psychedelic rock with a proto-punk tinge to it." (Aquarium Drunkard)
I love em' too- but you might have missed a lot of "obscue" and friggin awesome bands from the US.I've heard local bands this good- & it's NOT TO SAY this ain't everything you say it is and more.
an evil song... when i listen to this i can imagine the bleak grey early 70s london... out of yr head on downs/barbs/afghan hash ..bombsites/old man pubs/skanky squats etc.etc.
great band, fantastic, underground musical genius of the 70's....just getting into trips and mushies when i first heard them....definately left thier mark on me!
...EBB acts as time machine to my slippery consciousness hehe.... great video mate...love the scratches. peace
Does anybody know where I can get the tabs for this song? It would be hugely helpful if you did.
