@vbrindle Hey I've been to Hacienda Dominicus 3 times in the Dominican Republic and will go to Varedero in Cuba in four weeks!

I have a question, don't know what period you visited but will it be crowded in the beginning of July? Really don't like those hotels where people wake up at 6 just to put a towel on the beach chairs (I hope you understand what I mean, my English isn't great). Was this the case at Varedero? Thanks in advance!!

@KvOostende4 Hi. I was there this time last year. I'm afraid it was a bit like that especially around the pool, the beach wasn't as bad. Wasn't quite as early as 6am though, prob more like 7-8am. However I often managed to get a seat or share with someone else. I'm sure you'll enjoy it though. Wish I was there right now. The people there are great.

@vbrindle Thanks for the quick reply! That really sucks, we pick Iberostar everytime because this barely happens at their hotels. I still hope it isn't the case though. Really don't know why people do it, it's a holiday...

I guess I'll have to throw the towels in the pool on my way to the breakfast buffet again then :D

@KvOostende4 You can never tell. It depends how busy it is but the pool area is popular. I put the towel down on the way to the breakfast buffet. I wanted one that was in the shade though. I'm sure you'll be ok and have a great time.

i forgot to add how WONDERFUL the people there are. so nice and wonderful, especially with the kids. we all became fast friends. i just remember pushing one of the kids club directors in the pool. x) i made so many friends and i keep in touch with them all! i can't wait to go back. maybe next winter break!
