PART 1) A naat/nazam/nasheed what ever one calls it, is the term utilised to describe a song that is appropriate in islam. a naat does not have to be about makkah, medina or the prophet s.a.w it can be about anything as long as it does not conflict with the teachings of islam. this naat does not have any music in the back ground and therefore it is a naat, no harm in listening to it.

Abu Bakr sideeq r.a. happens to walk in and and said what! songs of the devil in the house of the prophet of Allah, the prophet s.a.w replied "leave them and let them be". nasheeds are lawful and have lessons and reminders for us all but should be reserved for days of celebration, just like the time of the prophets s.a.w.
