There was nothing ILLEGAL about the Countrywide loans to Dodd and Conrad. Rich people always get sweet deals from fat-cat bankers, and it's wrong. I never defended their actions. And there's nothing ILLEGAL about taking a $1000 contribution from Countrywide's PAC either. But when you sit on a committee that is supposed to regulate them, that's wrong too. And it has the potential to affect a whole lot more than Dodd and Conrad. But you condemn one and defend another, like the two-faced Bachmann.
