  • he always looked like an attractive 40 year old gentleman even in his 20s

  • @81Nickelbabe I totally agree with you on that ! Old Hollywood glamour movies had class, romance and a touch of pure innocence if you can call it that way. Last week I saw Rear window and I also discovered Pillow Talk, Mr Hudson was amazing and Mrs Day beautiful ! Lovely couple and no matter what people say Rock Hudson will always be a great actor. Cheers from Canada !

  • Gay or not he was the most beautiful man god has ever made!!

  • unfortunetly it is still out there though...

  • Rock Hudson to me was still fit even though he is homo but he still did love scenes with women so what.

  • he loves man so what???

  • I absolutely LOVE him in Pillow Talk and Lover Come Back:).

  • R I P you wonderfull wonderfull man xx

  • Rock Hudson was a great actor and holds an awesome legacy! Sad he had to die so young. RIP!!

  • HE WAS A GREAT ACTOR, I MISS HIM

  • I absolutely LOVE "Old Hollywood Glamour". The Hollywood stars of today have an entire Era to look up to and try to emulate...but too bad they totally threw it all out the window with the last few celebrities of this "Golden Era" passing on. The Hollywood of today is somewhat trashy and tasteless. (I said "SOME"...not "ALL") =)

  • He was a true legend.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Rock Hudson and Peter Jennings are probably somewhere talking about this news report.

  • Rock Hudson R.I.P. "He got the pearl of death in his oyster."

  • Rock Hudson was a great actor. I didn't see many of his movies but his acting in McMillan and Wife made that show one of the best in history.

  • Hey how about the thumbs up for Peter Jennings.

  • 'tis a shame that he was bequeetheth onto his surlopin pompinay. Thou shouldest rejoyceth toeth his achievments. HEAR YE HEAR YE! LET IT BE KNOOOWN THROUGH THE LAND! HEAR YE HEAR YE!

  • Pillow Talk is one of my favourite movies, and damn is Hudson good looking in it!

  • Hudson is a man, his looks make me melt.

    Ah.

  • Great actor. Love Giant... and his duet with Bea Arthur. I wouldn't mind a swig right now.

  • that way the 80s the fund for aids what happen now in 2010s did it end ,we don't hear about it in the new?

  • I remember when he passed away and how sad. I remember the aids scare.

  • @caribbeanprincess1

so as i said, i can't believe your stupidity!!!

  • Fantastic video I am so glad Rock Hudson's name came into my head.

Rest in peace Rock Hudson (1925 - 1985)

  • He was consuming little by little. As a candle. R.I.P. Rock Hudson, wherever you are. :'(

  • I have no problem with gay people.

  • PRETTY MARYS ALL IN A ROW best rock huson movie ever!!

  • i like gay men who are not labeled! mr. hudson was one of them! there are gays without any sissy aspects in their appearance. so get over it or does any straight guy looks or behave the same?!

if that's a problem, well that's your problem!

i can't believe he was gay-i can't believe your stupidity!!!!!!!

  • @TheThornbirds , well, he finally got what he deserved for his deceptive life, so that was a good ending in my book.

  • rock hudson was so good looking can't believe he was gay , he look bad before he died aids is such a terrible thing, RIP ROCK HUDSON

  • @MsFanmail As if gay men couldn't be good looking :-D Have you checked Montgomery Clift, James Dean, Tab Hunter, Farley Granger, Jean Marais, Richard Chamberlain, Anthony Perkins, Brad Davis, Cary Grant, etc? All from about the same time and all pretty handsome men... all gay or bi too. Remember if AIDS hadn't existed we would probably not know he was, so imagine how many were in the closet. Extremely good looking in movies means 50% of the time...just that... gay.

  • my dad sad the women where devestated when he came out. but he was gorgeous

  • What makes us human and talanted is one thing . You sexual preferance is none of my business ( unless it is with a minor ) and mine is none of yours . What makes you happy and brings a smile to your face and a calm to you soul is your love of another human no matter how it is plumbed .

  • When he did his coming out in Paris, some days before he dies, no airline company wanted to have him inside a plane. He had to rent a 747 Air France flight to come back to LA !!!! Shame on you !!!!

  • In This Clip, From ABC News' World News Tonight With Peter Jennings On Wednesday Evening, October 2, 1985, Combined The Report On The Death Of Actor Rock Hudson, The 1st Celebrity Who Died Of AIDS.

  • Rock Hudson en la memoria

  • You guys writing stuff like "gay or not, Rock Hudson was great" or saying that you don't care that he was gay: do you know how offensive you sound?

Did anyone commend John Forsythe for being great when he died - despite his heterosexuality? Does anyone say that Sydney Poitier is great - even though he is black? Of course not.

Rock Hudson spent his life in the closet because Hollywood does not allow gays to be out. Too many comments here seem to support that attitude even today.

  • @peerkbh Great point!

  • You are right. It's like saying: black or not this and that.. Human being includes, race, gender, sexuality. Don't judge PERIOD.

  • @peerkbh the IRONY is it SHOULD be "gay or not...". Unfortunately, the REALITY, to this fucking DAY, is quite different.

  • @peerkbh - my favorite comment is: "I have no problem with gay people." WHEW. I can now sleep tonight, thank you SO much...

  • @peerkbh your looking at it the wrong way. the reason people say "gay or not" is because some are quick to judge on it. your acting as if being gay is as socially acceptable as being straight, and its no secret that its not. im not saying i agree but some people see it as morally wrong so putting in a disclaimer is necessary somtetimes. your probably one of those people who complain either way. i think comparing it to john forsythe's heterosexuality is immature and a poor use of rhetoric.

  • @peerkbh I think I get what you're saying. Being condensending is as bad as being hateful.

  • @peerkbh I am NOT saying you are wrong...in a sense it is condescending..but in a way I think its also a step up from how it used to be..When I was young there were not "buts"...it was not accepted..and it was considered unacceptable. It was people like Rock, Ryan White and others who made it possible to see how ignorant they were then about aids, or gay or other titles people put on others. yes there should not be "buts" when complementing people but at least some are trying.

  • A true legend, and a class act all the way! Rock Rules!!

  • class man!

  • Gay or not, Rock Hudson was a wonderful actor, and, more importantly, a wonderful human being. Rest in Peace Roy Fitzgerald.

  • Has anyone noticed how strange it is that you RARELY hear about AIDS anymore?

  • @tracyblogger an absolute fact, thanks for pointing that out!

  • @tracyblogger If you turn on the news and expect something about AIDS, cocaine, or something about Michael Jackson or Madonna on Entertainment Tonight everyday, you're stuck in the '80s.

  • What is really sad here is that last 10 seconds...It wasnt until his death that real effort was put into AIDS research..

  • I don't care if Rock Hudson was gay.....cause he was hot as hell and an amazing actor. Love you, Rock xooxoxo

  • you can still sense the disapproval, and this was only 25 years ago

  • @Doobsisno1 it's just the same today, just that blacks have captured the limelight

  • Such a good looking man.
