i can tell you what that switch on the right side of the M14 does. On the real gun, that is the selector switch. Semi-auto or full-auto. The other switch on the left side, on the M1 Garand not so sure about the M14, is a quick magazine ejection incae of a jam. Just thought you would like to know.
