@Tnem56  Snowball began dancing on his own...he isn't trained at all. He dances when he feels like it which is practically 100% of the time when people are watching him. He just loves to show off for the attention.

P.S. 1 Bird is not a lot of animals is it? LOL! I also have 1 cat, 2 dogs and 5 horses to take care of. I have 2 miniature horses, 1 purebred Shetland mare, and 1 Palouse (Aussie for Appaloosa) pony stallion. I live on a small rural property in Southern New South Wales Australia. We have heaps of Parrots here and the area I live in is a Superb Parrot sanctuary and habitat. I live directly across the street from a "common" reserved for the Superb Parrots and see them here flying wild very often.

I missed the videos despite the fact that I try to watch her show as much as I can. I have a lot of animals to take care of as well. I have 1 bird, a Galah (Rose Breasted Cockatoo) Named "Pinky". I've been playing Snowball's videos for her to watch (She *DOES* watch them! :o) My vet told me that Birds can watch TV as their eyes are constructed to be able to see the screen unlike some dogs and cats) in the hopes that she might try to dance. All she really does is watch. :o(

@werecow2003 Snowball does like many different bands...Backstreet Boys, Queen, Pink, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, etc. We never know what he's going to like until we play it for him. We pick out some songs that we think Snowball would love and he ends up turning his nose up at it...and then there are those tunes that we don't think he'll dance to, but he does...with enthusiasm! LOL

Additionally, I did a little bit of work in phonetics, and my former boss had a colleague who's looking at bird songs as compared to human language. I wonder how much research there is on animals/music. (Aside from an animal lover, I'm kind of a science geek, in case you hadn't realized. }|:op)

thanx for replying! if this is really unmanipulated, it is miraculous. (it would be great choreography otherwise!). or maybe our knowledge of birds is lacking a lot. i do know that parrots are not ordinary birds. anyway, he is even creative, he varies his moves - he could be a go go dancer anywhere...

@doeme53 Snowball created another new dance move a few weeks ago. He has combined his usual "head twirl" with lifting his wings for a very dramatic dance move. He loves the verbal praises when he dances, so I believe this explains why he continues to think up more dance moves and loves to dance in front of others. He thrives on the attention and praises. Many cockatoos love to dance...this seems to be something most cockatoos have in common (appreciation of music).
