  • Ok, thanks. Hooyah!

  • 4 years in the Air Force, and few years , 290-pound Goggins stood in a Navy recruiting center saying he wanted to become a SEAL. HE was told that a man of his stature would never make it through. Two months of intense dieting and exercise later, Goggins stood in the same recruiting office at 190 pounds. Goggins was forced through the SEAL(s)’ infamous hell week twice, but finally achieved his goal in 1998.

  • @jimmymc1234 Where did you get this information?

  • @NSWCSEAL if you google "david goggins: the toughest athlete on the planet" you will get a page on triathlete Europe competitor website with the below as part of the article.

i have to say, as a British person i am very glad the US NAVY SEALS are on my side!

  • time to run!

  • 3 in the morning to 8 , holy shit!

  • lol tell me a bit about yourself? the only thing he can say is he's a navy seal and his hobbies everything else is like classified

  • "and thats nonstop?" nonstop....

  • what an amazing foundation too

  • so ur addicted to it in a way.. Not addicted at all, i do it to raise money for a foundation... ohh shit i didnt know that.. interviewer is a dumbass, this guy is not only a beast but he also does this for a good cause.. great man

  • Face of a warrior.

  • he probably has no sperm count

  • @1983RWW why?????????????? whould u think that

  • @monkeymakr1 because of his balls of freaking steel.

  • I like how he said 11 days instead of 12. Because in his mind the entire time, his mind was set for 11 days).

  • he's a warrior, not an athlete, there is a difference. athletes are overpaid and underworked.

  • @mayhemlee the exact opposite of a warrior ; )

  • He ain't ordinary bruh

  • Comes on Chuck Norris bring your A-Game!

  • i think i've found a new role model.

  • @Jazoonify so much

  • How do you donate

  • 290 POUNDS?!!!! That's fucking 132 kilos! Holy shit he was LARRRRRRRRRRRRRGE!

  • This guys an animal!!

  • OH MY GOD....this guy is amazing.....to bad we don't have everyone in the mlitary as fit as he is....the US DOD would be unstoppable

  • Such an inspiration!

  • @cellardoor199991 Special Forces and Special Ops are something that are often mistaken for being 2 separate things. Spec Ops, or Special Operations are the activities and duties that the Special Forces perform. Rangers are considered special forces because they have specialized training. Same thing with SEALs or Air Force Rescue Jumpers. Green berets are just the elite of the special forces, same thing with Seal Team 6 and 1st SFOD-D or Delta Force. Take it from a SEAL.

  • wow! But why was he 290lbs? Surely if he was a SEAL before 2005, he wouldn't be obese in 2005. Maybe he was a bodybuilder or something?

  • Can you say Spartan. This guy is awe inspiring.

  • Is this Kobe Bryants long lost twin?

  • David Goggins is a hero.

  • Green Berets are special forces not spec ops. I think the Green Berets are the only special forces out there.

  • @cellardoor199991 Lol...special forces and ''spec ops'' are the same thing man. In the media they like to view it as seperate things but the real military term says 'Special Operations Forces'. To shorten the term they say Special Forces or Special Operations.

  • @KhemAndKurami Wrong, Special Forces is Army "Green Berets." Spec ops is Special Operations, not the same thing. Special Operations are missions completed by MARSOC, SEALS, SWCC, PJ's, SF, Rangers etc...

  • @anthonyboone The Army Special Forces are the Green Berets, yeah. Special Forces can also refer to other special operations forces though.

  • @KhemAndKurami alright lemme clear this up, navy and airforce go by "spec-ops" army goes by "Special forces" they are just used interchangeably. but if you want to be technical and correct only army has "special forces" while navy and airforce go by "Spec ops"

  • @anthonyboone alright lemme clear this up, navy and airforce go by "spec-ops" army goes by "Special forces" they are just used interchangeably. but if you want to be technical and correct only army has "special forces" while navy and airforce go by "Spec ops"

  • @knpdyeballarice Nope, Special Operations Forces is a term that is international and for every military branch.

  • @KhemAndKurami Pretty sure I talked to a sailor and an airmen and they both told me the same thing. Only the army has "Special forces" while everyone else is "spec ops"

  • @knpdyeballarice If you don't believe me then just search for the term '''special operations forces''

  • @KhemAndKurami yeah there is army SOF. are you in any branch of the military right now? I'm going to guess no.

  • @knpdyeballarice A person doesn't need to be in the military to know what he is talking about. If a person knows how to read and obtain information then the question if he serves or not is irrelevant.

  • @knpdyeballarice Correct. Only Special Forces are the Green Berets. All others are Special Operations...I don't personally understand it and there's alot of debate about it.

  • @knpdyeballarice No, Special Operations aka Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Is Delta, Special Forces (Green Berets) Rangers, MARSOC, SEALS, SWCC, and PJ's.

  • Comment removed

  • I WANNA HAVE A SPECIAL FORCES DAD!

if i was one of those kids from the foundation he runs for, i dont know what id be doin

  • SHIT

David Goggins doesnt exist, hes an alien.

i mean 203 miles non stop running? i once started a walk and stoped at the 20th mile LOL

    was almost leaving earth ROFLMAO

  • He ran 123.5 miles through the death valley desert. =O

  • He was a power lifter but that was when he was like 24. He lost 100 pounds in 2 months so that he could go for SEALs.

  • I met him before (: He is amazing. My friend and him had a push up contest. Of course my friend lost. He totally beats Chuck Norris

  • so he's been a navy seal for 9 years...but back in 2005 he was weighing 290lbs trying to get into the badwater ultramarathon? doesn't add up.

  • @jreedfb actually he did say that

  • @cellardoor199991 yea he said he weighed 290 lbs before... but NOT in 2005 he never said the words "in 2005 i started triathlons AND weighed 290 lbs"

  • @cellardoor199991 damn i didn't catch that i guess you're right then. either he's mistaken or busted his ass like no other lol

  • @reckokicker he said that he started triathlons and all that in 2005 not that he weighed that much

  • Very admirable. It would be nice for the government to also help out more with these families. Best of Luck in RAAM.

  • No he really was 290lbs....check out the 'About Me' section of his website.

  • there's several of them. Diff. other races as well

  • So was he a navy seal at 290 lbs?!

  • i think he said wrong i think he ment 190 ibs stil its pretty heavy .

  • @SGCDriver It is. But he has longer strides.

  • @EJDuhay he was a weight lifter. So it wasn't just fat

  • @mitkoman have some respect! Don't be an idiot.

  • Jeez, 203 miles...!

  • "Some buddies of mine died in Afgan.." He's talking about Operation Redwing. The account told by Marcus Lutrell in "Lone Survivor." Goggins is in the same Seal Team as Marcus' brother.

  • I don't think the 3 guys that died in Operation Redwing had kids, though.

It's never mentioned in the book.

  • hey what book is this, sounds like an interesting read

  • Hi, the book is called "Lone Survivor" by Marcus Luttrell.

I would recommend also reading "Warrior Soul" by Chuck Pfarrer.

  • @MrFrankBullitt his buddies weren't the 3 guys killed. They were the other SEALS that flew in on that aircraft that got shot down.

  • i wouldnt drive in a car non stop for 500 miles

  • You wouldnt drive in a car non stop for 500 miles because you are a obese ugly meat ball cant get away from McDonalds for more that an hour!!

  • @ mitkoman lol you dont know who I am, I train at one of the toughest jiu jitsu schools in the usa 3-4 times a week, am a purple belt and I put up fences for a living so you must be the meat ball, try breaking rocks all day with a bar, you probablly sit behind a desk or are some retarded runner wasting away on the road toothpick thin

  • Hmmm, I'd say that comment was way over the top.

  • A purple belt in jiu jitsu is not bad considering the art. But, leave us runners alone. I run in one of the hottest ares of the US; sun scorching at 101* by 11 AM. It hits 114* by 3 PM. Try fighting the elements.

  • I admire anyone who runs these distances, I was not saying anything to runners, I was saying I couldnt do this and someone on this video called me lazy and fat so I replied back to them...keep up with what ever your into!

  • David Goggins is the man.

  • He was a powerlifter...so he wasn't a lazy bastard.

  • whats a powerlifter?

Im not american so thats y i dunno what it is :P

  • A powerlifter is someone who competes in one two or all three of the following events: Bench Pressing, Deadlifting, Back Squatting for a maximum weight for one rep.

  • @Lannytube Ya he still looked athletic at 290.

  • That really inspires me,the fact that he use to weight 290 pounds.

  • @dmulwee213 , And he competed in (not just ran, but competed) in a 100 mile race at that weight. He had broken some bones in his feet and if I remember correctly had kidney failure during that race. But, he still finished.

  • I watch these and I think that the people interviewing him, often, they just dont get it. The Spec ops stuff, the training ,the racing, the mental commitment...It is all so beyond normal people. Goggins is hard.

  • It is beyond badass that David does this!
