  • The hard part is figuring out how to remove the old blades. The new ones just slip on the hook, in most cases it accidentally finds its home. This vid spends no time explaining how to maneuver the blade off. It's not just press the tab and remove. I'm reminded of Norton and the handcuffs. BOOMF!

  • no help whatsoever

  • on to the next

  • can't even see this video!

  • JESUS FUCK IM SO PISSED. WHY THE FUCK IS THIS SO HARD

  • OMFG! Its winter and I broke my fucking blade. Now I have to replace it in the fucking snow and cold ass fucking weather. FUCK! I'm about to gd RAGE!!!!!!!!!

The mfer won't go on!!!!!!!!!!!!! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (

  • @PauseBroke yes

  • are you fucking kidding me!? GETING SO DAMN SICK OF THESE 30 SECOND COMMERCIALS ITS LONGER THAN THE FUCKING VIDEO I EVEN WANT TO WATCH THANKS ALOT VIVO FOR BEING THE MOST ANNOYING GOD DAMN THING ON THE PLANET AND CAUSING SO MANY LOST VIEWS ON EVERY VIDEO YOU FUCK WITH YOU FUCKERS

  • heres my problem. i walk in advance and get 2 wipers blades go to my car and replace the passenger side 2 seconds done. go to the drivers side pull off the old one, it was on pretty good a few curse words were named but came of a min later, ok i put on the new one. the wiper tip that slides on the twice the with of a normal arm. WTF and if that dont top the cake i bent the old one because of the 30 seconds of extra effort to remove. but n e ways no one has a bigger blade. not napa not autozone.

  • @Rone170 and its is on a 2002 chrysler sebring lxi 3.0

  • well I just learnt american wiper blades are nothing like australian ones

  • This was just what I was looking for - very quick easy and to the point - thanks so much guys!! Well done

  • worked great for me

  • that is not how you replace a wiper blade bcos all cars dnt have the fucking clip!

  • every 6 month?

  • really? you should replace both wipers???

  • This is great. First time female "mechanic" - no problems. Thanks

  • wheres the clip i cant find it

  • too bad his hand is one top of the clip which is the part that I can't get to work. Not very helpful.

  • omg :D Yay. This was so easy and I was able to do it. 8D They're not really expensive either.

  • remember safety first...DONT forget those saftey glasses..

  • It's so gay all the windshield wipers they sell are like this because all the newer cars have the hooks like this one, mine is the old kind with the pin and i can't find any of those kind anywhere

  • wtf all theses ads

  • this shit is so much harder than it looks. my wiper WILL NOT GO ON AND IM ABOUT TO FUCKING RAGE.

  • @1EPowerUp I was raging! I'm not a paranoid person...but i bet my neighbours were watching and laughing at my fail :/ It is trickier than it looks!

  • watched this then went and changed my wipers within 6 minutes. thanks!

  • Hmm, my hook was stuck to the old windshield wipers, no wonder I had such a hard time releasing it. Also, RainX wipers are better than Duralast.

  • Awesome! Just did it! Thanks, guys.

  • It's also a different kettle of fish when it's -36 outside.... :)

  • so thats it huh? okay, tell why i just spent 45 minutes in front of Wally world trying to "click" the wiper into place. i woulda had better luck if my hands were made of ham

  • i'm fairly certain my busted wiper scratched my windshield. i am very excited for this.

  • WTF that looked hella easy

  • fender cover was really key ;)

  • wow i feel stupid

  • me, just broke one.....:

  • but mine are encased in rubber how the hell do i get them off?

  • When you were younger, did you notice the wierd wiping direction of most windshield wipers? It wipes right to left with unequal blades.

  • So..in conclusion..Ladies..if you can find a guy who can replace a set of blades or refills (especially refills) without hesitation..marry him but quick! But alas, I'm willing to bet he won't know how to salsa dance.

  • ..and some aftermarket blades have a hook on each end that has to be cut off in order to replace the refill. Some bosch blades have both ends boxed in with bent metal, but those are easily replaced even tho it appears they cannot (usually "N" refills). I wish I had the time to make a vid as there is much misinformation and it costs the public much $ each year. Another thing you need to remember is to place a cushion in case the arm gets away from you and hits/breaks the windshield. (continued).

  • Most parts stores will sell you the whole blade because they are too busy to go out and look at the car..and most of the time, the customer doesn't know how to change the refill. On newer cars, most of the time the blades are of different length and many times each will be of a different width, so it is impossible to sell a customer refills which always come 2 of the same size per package. Anco sells 3 width refills, part numbers prefix with a "U", "N" or "W"..(continued next entry..)

  • Thanks for this video. Instructions on the back of the packaging was horrible. This demonstration made it so much easier.

  • That's not how to replace wiper blades, that's how to replace the whole assembly. Good for a car part dealer to rip off the customer, but not much good otherwise.

  • @Loxmyf

Most people, and dealerships, change the assembly which includes the blade....

  • I replaced just the rubber, but now it doesn't touch the windscreen properly, so I'll have to change the whole unit, and thanks to this video - now I know how!

  • thanks! i feel like a dumbass for not already knowing how!

  • Bullshit. The tab does nothing. It releases nothing, it affects nothing.

  • very helpfull

  • Comment removed

  • @1SmileDude1

    Don't buy shitty jap cars

  • i had trouble taking it off hahah i was dang it and tugging and nothing good was happening haha oh well know i know thanks for ur help :)

  • THANK YOU! now i can feel like more of a man again! i thought for sure my wife was gonna revoke my man card for not being ale to switch out my dang windshield wiper! lol easy once i seen the video though putting it on still wasnt as easy as first lol

  • I'm an idiot. I found the clip but didnt know what to do after that. Thanks.

  • hey don't make me feel bad if you are an idiot i don't know what i am, because i found the clip and went to youtube to know how to get it loose

  • the guy on the left looks funny, and the guy talking is way camera shy, good vid though

  • i got wiper blades just like those but the part thats on the car is not the same as that. it's just a pin like thing on it. the one is this video are like a hook. is there a way for it to still go on my car?

  • good vid , saved me time.

  • if only it was this easy on a 1998 Cadillac Catera >:(

  • is it just me or was that guy overly excited about teaching us how to change a windshield wiper blade

  • It's still nice that he shows us how to do it.

  • no, just generally helpful

  • Oh man thanks so much for this. I was out there for an hour trying to figure out how to get that thing off with a screw driver and a knife.

  • And that is how u freakin fail!

    Can someone help me?

One of my wipers is too high up i think, so when it moves it makes a squeeky sound as it goes down.. it pisses me off lol, i just replaced my wipers, and its still doing it, please help ;[

  • Its most likely a protectant on your windshield that's causing it. Rain-X protectant stuff usually causes screeching when you use the wipers without the windshield being super wet

  • thanks doing mine today the click sound makes me LOL

  • Thanks! Took me about 10 minutes to do all THREE blades on my FJ Cruiser. I was stuck before.

  • thank you

    this video is so helpful

  • what about 2006 civic its a different setup

  • i fucked up my windshield during replacing...

  • @tarikboss shit the sucks man

  • @tarikboss Duh!

  • @tarikboss Me too..cleaned the car for mum on mothers day (just now)...the wiper came off...tried to put it back in and broke it...fuck -_-

  • @tarikboss

    Are you stupid?

  • @SirEpicWinrar ur mom is smarter :)

  • Why did he suggest using a screwdriver? I didnt see them use it or any need to lol

  • Thanks for this video! I followed the example and got the old ones off and new ones on easy. If I can do it, anyone can :)

  • I fucked up my windshield.... the metal thing came back and made line....

  • damn.. that sucks.

  • thank you! well done!

  • Thanks, this was straigtforward and helpful!!

  • thank you!!! ^_^

  • Thank you for your video, Found it helpful :)

  • it's a good thing I have my strong hands to push in that little clip.

  • I didnt think there would be a video for this but you really find anything on the internet! This was really helpful, THANKS!!!

  • You'd think the blabber mouth dude would help a little with that fender cover.

  • LOL! I know, dang! All he did was talk the whole time...

So, I was successful at taking it off, but putting it back on seems to be trickier...

  • Helpful video! I want to buy some new wiper blades and fit them tomorrow, so this has been really useful :)

  • Sad.. I go to the home web site to watch this video.. but My Flash Blocker software screws up YOUR Flash X tools.

So I watch it here on YouTube.
