Just finished this movie, and was glad someone had this end credits song up, because it wasn't mentioned in the credits & I loved the darker vocal aspects of this at the end. Is this the full track? Does anyone know who did the eerie vocal sounds? I really love the dark stuff & want to use this in a music mix, but want the longer one with the full vocals the end credits had. Is this it or is there one longer? Thanks for having this up :)
when i watched this on the IFC network /channel the station broadcasted it on televised TV and it earned about 4 or 3 stars and man tom towles was a twisted perverted motherfucker i mean no wonder when he molested that blonde girl he was psychotic and sadistic. man what an asshole
it's a shame how horror movies today only get credit for cheap scares that only startle you in the moment. i will always remember this movie for how messed up it was at times and just the shock value i got from how realistic it was in general. great acting, great effects, great storyline, and great ending as well. one of the best horror films i've ever watched.
I know what you mean but would you put this film on the same level as Ichi The Killer, Man Bites Dog or the original Last House on The Left when it comes to films that shock you to the bone? i hear A Serbian Film is more messed up than this but i'm not touching that trash after all the fucked up things i've heard about
Were you too a teen when you saw this masterpiece of horror? it shocked me badly when i was 14 but stunned me. it makes you feel unclean at times with it's raw nature and realism.
@Johnlindsey289 I saw it uncut on video when i was 11 and it shocked me too. Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Maniac, I Spit on Your Grave and Last House on the Left, it makes you feel dirty after seeing it.
I think the modern versions of this is either Wolf Creek or Devil's Rejects since they share the gritty grindhouse feel of this film, even Rob Zombie is a fan of this film.
Brilliant movie, i saw this movie when i was 14 about 15 years ago after hearing so much praise for it even by horror fans. It shocked the hell out of me but stunned me. One of the most realistic horror movies that go for the jugular.
This movie was really worth it. It's supposed to make you feel somewhat helpless and it worked for me, which i can't say for the current toxic holloywood brew that has already been evaporated. All scary-scenes have become predictable and movies are just boring these days. You have to look deeper to find good stuff like this. Way, way deeper... until you're stabbbed.
@TRISTAN029 that is because they are not real, Henry is a real guy, the movie feels like a documentry on a real person, and that is what gives it its "charm".
@787Dante Get to the ending,,, have you watched the movie yet???? it will make you wanna slash your wrists. im not joking,, let me know what you thought.. oh, and DONT watch the sequel
@TRISTAN029 Yeh i've watched it about 2 months ago and I liked it the ending yes was disturbing but not as bad as what he truely did to the love of his life. But why shouldn't I watch the sequel does it suck?
@787Dante Different actor playing henry...different director writer,,etc... pretty much a copy of first film. it lessened the impact of the first film for me... just my opinion..

@gmj2012 It is the director of the movie himself, the great the only John McNaughton !

This, in my opinion, is one of the most genuinely effective themes ever made for a horror film. It really chills the blood.

Who knew Rooker would turn into a From Beyond-esque alien being in the Sci-fi horror comedy Slither
Johnlindsey289 9 months ago
@Johnlindsey289 lol. Yeah, he was great in that. Slither was a really fun Night of the Creeps style film.

@Johnlindsey289 The Devils' Rejects was definitely inspired, in part, by it and shares the same gritty feel.
