This Monster is just amazing ... This C-17 (7173 512th AW & 436th AW) aka (DOVER) came all the way here ( Dubai ) for the Dubai Airshow ... The Cockpit was just amazing ... Man I love these aircraft from the great US of A ...

thats the thrust reverser its used to slow the aircraft down during landing also used on airliners

personally the C-5 Galaxy is my favorite plane.

But i like this one too. It flies like a fighter plane. it's ridiculous! :) I remember riding on one of these babies all the way from Japan to North Carolina. It was a blast. :)

I was there for the last airshow at Dover in 2006 when they had no C-17s.They used a C-5 for a flyby.The Air Force is so in love with the C-17 they pretty much forgot the C-5 exist.

Yup, they had the show on Saturday, but I decided to wait until Sunday. It was a good call, because they cancelled the Thunderbirds on Saturday due to tornado watch.

Public affairs was NOT happy when they heard security forces and whoever it was on the announcer's stand telling people the show was cancelled when in fact, it was not. Most of these cancelled reports were coming in around 11-12.

THe bang was a compressor stalll but i think the white line is water vapor. It looks pretty wet there so it probably sucked up some water
