The only way I'm going to believe the honesty of "close the border" is if it's to resources too. American corporations been leeching the cheap labor force and resources of Central and South American countries for decades. The people are good enough to stay in their shitholes (made by the U.S.A) and work in sweatshops to make cheap clothing but they're not allowed to come into the country after an epic trek? Where's the blame to companies who outsource just to get a larger profit? Blame the poor.

Afghan wars have been 100% about opium control since the early 1960s if not the late 1800s. The only reason any foreign government has entered Afghanistan is been to control opium which is the #1 revenue generator for governments besides oil and weapons.
Governments have generated more money from the production and sales of pharmaceutical opium and the street sales of the by-product/ junk -heroin then any other product beside oil and weapons.

I don't think Alex handled the last caller right. He should have kept his comments/questions short in order to give the caller time to respond to such questions from Alex as:
"Am I lying about (a)?"
"Am I lying about (b)?"...Etc.
"What am I lying about?"
and then address whatever specific issues the caller brings up.
