I love your videos, I have watched them all. I am finding somebody to build a nice draft free shelter, then I want to get two does. Do you drink their milk, or just have them as pets? I live in Columbus, Ohio, and I worried about the cold weather, but since you live in Alaska, hey maybe it's not to cold here!
We ocassionally milk our does, but mostly let the does nurse their own babies and then dry them off. The milk is delicious - very sweet, high in butterfat and perfect for ice cream, cheese, etc.
Hey people! I'd love to hear comments on this series of videos - I am planning on documenting these kids from day one through weaning (8-10 weeks of age), at which time they will head off to a new home (together!). I'd like to hear from ANYONE who watches and hopefully enjoys the videos, and am particularly interested in what other Pygmy goat breeders think of these kids. Thanks!!
Oh they are so cute, what breed is that?
