  • The Bunnymen approaching their peak. Was at this one. This grainy footage (from Midsummer Nights Tube) is the best I have seen that gets anywhere near close to capturing what they were like live. They always delivered in Liverpool And between 81 and 87 they gave a string of utterly great performances. NME at the time even argued they were the best live rock n roll band of all time. Wouldn't argue with that. Thanks for posting Dr Cheese. Great memories.

  • THIS is the Bunnymen

  • i wish i'd got the chance to see them back in the 80's

  • i love this song.. thanks for post..

  • i own that vox guitar and it is the best thing!!!!!! and i LOOOOVE ECHO!!

i was lucky enough to see them 4 times!!

  • If you like this then you will like the band I manage, The Ran-Tan Waltz.. Hyped by NME, major support slots last/this year, 2 big London shows coming up in April. New EP released on Philophobia Records etc... Vids on the youtube profile x

  • All the musicians on this are fantastic. Pete.....no one better.

  • All the musicians on this are fantastic

  • great voice and sound great lyrics underestimated

  • ian mccullouch is the master

  • I always loved this band, they were my favorites in the 80's, than the Cure, but nothing beats the lyrics for Sea Sea's, Silver, Ocean Rain, it just tears at the heart, these guys are on par with the greatest of the english romantics..thanks for the video!

  • They are sooo awesome *-*

  • yeah, watched this on the tube 25 yrs ago. had a copy on vhs but lost it. great to watch again, reminds me of being a 16 yr old. the song's timeless!

  • woderful..my fave bunnymen track...

  • LalalalaLaLaLa

  • lovely stuff, not my words the words of shakin stevens.

  • I love the instrumental 2 minutes into the song. These guys were great musicians. Long live the Bunnymen!!!

  • I used to listen to these guys alot backin the 80s...... I LOVE this Band....But even today...When I mention Echo and the Bunnymen as one of the greatest bands ever....People look at me wierd!!! WTF!!!

  • hey your not alone i saw them in 2003 and 2005 and they blew me away. EATB is one of the greatest!

  • People don't know what they are talking about.

  • I've been following this band for a long time, they are up there with the best, actually they are the best band to come out of the UK in a very long time. They are a band that Just gets better! Love them..

  • can someone please relieve me of my ignorance. What happend to Echo and his Bunnymen?

  • They are coming out with a new album "The Fountain"

  • so beautiful to see pete playing the drums....

  • A favorite of mine.I saw them live in the 80s

I like the guitar Will uses.Mac voice deep like Morrison.

  • a well known music artist (i forget who) once declared Echo & The Bunnymen better than the Doors. At first I thought Doors are way better, but.... hmmm is it not at least a close call? Not that it matters much but I wonder What do you all think.. Who is the better band? Doors or Echo?

  • I think Echo has a better sound, but the Doors have Jim Morrison. It's hard. They say Ian is the british Jim. i can see where they get that from.

  • it might be because Echo did a cover of a Doors song and reasonably well. I am still undecided which band is better. The muscians in both bands are very talented, but however fine Ian's voice is, he doesnt have that Morrison swagger.

  • bunnymen songs are way better

  • whoever thought of comparing them is probably on pills anyway

  • A moment of genius from the band in this song.

  • Ian's voice is very reasonable live, but not

    as good as the record.

  • I think it is great, so much better than some of these people out here. Make great songs in studio and then come and sing live and man do they suck!

  • back of the net

  • Tremendous! Check out Pete just killing those drums. He was so incredible. And because she was babe, and because she introduced me to Echo with this song, Angie, I love you.

  • so good

  • i must make leave and do it -

    ahhhhhhh mac!

  • Howdy Drcheese.

Is there anywhere I can get a copy of this full concert.I used to have some of it on video tape(from the tube) but lost it some years ago and now everything's on DVD.

Saw them at the barrowlands round about the same time and it's the best concert I've seen.

  • the song that saved my life

  • wonderful job my dear

  • you're living proof at my finger tips

  • wow!....stands the test of time. What a great band.

  • I think this is my favourite of all the Crystal Day clips.
