  • there is a true american. les paul in his hands and a flag behind him playing the star spangled banner. i salute you!!

  • Nice,i have to say that your version of the star spangled banner was nice to listen to,my only qualm is that the tempo was a bit slow.

  • could get some work to it. Check out my vid sometime please.

  • this is a perfect example of why line 6 is the truth

  • I like the tempo !

  • i bet that dudes better than all of you people. atleast he has the balls to post it. i bet most of you dont even play guitar.....

  • Nice effort & tone man i attached my version not as good but oh well lol

  • "wawawawawawa" great :p

  • Learn to use the pedal better and ill give you a thumbs up.

  • nice job. Practice with a metronome. :)

  • dude this dont even sound like it but great job anyway..

  • alright tom petty

  • Yall just leave the guy alone. He is good and is probally way better than yall dip shits who leave hate comments, To me i thought it was pretty bad ass but be dicks, i dont care. ITS AMERICA PPL!!!!!

  • You're so good at that bro. You play it so much better than I do xD

  • excellent try, Maybe learn some basic music theory and learn how to tie it all in correctly? <-- serious suggestion.

  • orangeunicorn: No disrespect to Jimi Hendrix, but I do agree with you, I have seen better performances by Jimi on video, and Woodstock was not one of them. To lorenisbroke: Can you educate me on what the proper key is to playing this? Since it seems that you know alot of musical knowledge and know the proper keys, notes and chords, Jimi's guitar was out of tune at Woodstock so please educate me on proper keys! (sarcasm!)

  • As a guitarist myself, I must say this rendition was very emotional and original due to the certain sound effects you put in. There are two ways to play guitar, play through fast scales with no emotion what so ever or playing with emotion. You sir, played with emotion, which is what was needed for this song. Very good job, well done.

  • You have Skills, but Improv is difficult to master. Not bad, 3/5 much better than some of the idiots on youtube. And god bless America

  • The tune comes from a popular British drinking song written by John Stafford Smith for the Anacreontic Society, a men's social club in London. Try as we may, we can't seem to get away from the Brits...

  • With Jimi you can hear the B-52's bombing Vietnamese civilians, the noise of the Huey helicopter gunships in an "Apocalypse Now" event. Or even the screams of innocent children with their flesh burning from the petro-chemical warfare of Napalm. A black man playing a white guitar held on his shoulder by a Native American designed strap, wearing native American Indian clothes; playing to a white audience in a paddy field of their own making. Only in America

    This is masturbation.

  • Actually I just went and listened to Jimi's 1969 version. Sounds like shit. I think he was wasted when he was...wait it was Woodstock, of course he was.

  • haha im guessing your against the war? how old are you like 10? because when you get into middle school you'll learn that we actually killed the Vietkong and not Vietnamese people (at least not intentionally). and WTF?? he perfomed at Woodstock... and if you look at a video of woodstock there are more than enough black and white people. Hippies loved all and weren't racist you dip.

  • nice but need less fuz and it needs a flanger and wah wah

  • jimi hendrix is 1000 times better then him hendrx version has much more power and a better sound youre noob

  • Haha i laugh at people who call others "noob"

  • Learn to play

  • mano q anti patriotismo !

  • Crank up the volume to get some MF'N feedback! Ain't nasty enough imo. Nice idea for the whammy though. I like the wailin' near the end. Now it gets nasty. You need to get that song exploding out.

  • Here's my version of the star spangled banner. I think it has the wailing you were looking for.

    watch?v=5VPmJpB2EIo

  • hey man your use a boss OC-3 Super Octive pedal right? if not what is it?

  • hahahaha... nice find

  • that was horride

  • Wrong "Ispitonchihuahuas", this is one of the best versions on youtube.

The only reason MY video of "Star Spangled" is better is I included drums.

  • thts a gibson lp studio

  • ummmmm... no thats a les paul

  • Epiphone makes Les Pauls...

But no it is not a dot, dots are (semi?)hollow

  • actually gibson makes les pauls and epiphones

  • It is a Les Paul Studio, which is a stripped down version of the Les Paul Standard, I have one just like it, nice guitars.

  • it was a little jazzed up mabey lay off some of the extras and keep it original otherwise good job

  • The solo at the end was good, I only herd some errors- nobody can play it perfect and still be original, good job 4 stars

  • I loved it and i hope some day to be able to play as well as this, but i agree maybe a few too much effects near the 2 minute mark and after

  • YOWZA, thats good. im just startin 2 learn this song, hopefully i can play this good.

  • Interesting!

  • not bad

  • i liek the american flag in the bacjkground nice touch =D

  • he should hav goten a costom les paul with the american flag on it lol

  • It started out good, but after a few minutes you threw in too much metal and pedal effects that it took away from the soul you were showing....

  • ehhhh, You were trying WAY too hard!!! There was so much junk thrown in, it didn't even match the right key and made terrible transitions going back to the main song. Timing was gross as well. And yes you're welcome for the free criticism, next one will cost ya.

  • you're a tone-deaf idiot, so I think I'll keep my money...

  • Ya man don't listen to him, this was awesome =) I warm up on the national anthem, and it's a little different than the other videos so maybe I'll post my version. Enjoyed it man =D

  • I concur!
