But does no-one agree that Trevor McDonald was always over-rated? All he ever did was read the autocue, and for that he got a knighthood! And he could never keep his left arm still, always fidgeting with the top corner of his notes. Today's newsreaders have to be able to interview people in the studio or via satellite on any topic, and have to sound as though they know what they're talking about. Sorry Trevor - liked your Secret Mediterranean series though!

News at Ten New look preview behind the scenes - Mar 4th '99 wow amazing I remember this clip from the very start off March 1999 amazing I remember this News At Ten bulletin from years ago it is also good to look Behind the scenes of the new look Nightly News on ITV that was to commence Mar 5th '99. I love that clip starting at 0:00 with Trevor McDonald that does bring back many memories from years ago it is also good too see the new look ITN Evening News at 0:25 0:26 and at 0:29 0:30 0:31 0:32

Thanks for this - a very interesting piece. I didn't know ITN delved into the scens before they took place. I suppose they did that to reassure viewers about the changes in one way.
