If your talking hands while commenting on this video, you are missing the boat. It is not about the hands. It is about the torque created from the hips opening before the upper body. Hands are guides to the ball. Let the big muscles do the work.
Also, if you are talking hands, you aren't talking the language of this style of hitting. There are plenty of videos using handsy approaches. Comment on those.
Bat head should be even or above the hands on contact. You’re not getting extended enough and you should be pulling with bottom hand and pushing with top hand....If you practice with the wrong technique it takes longer to correct the bad habits. Not to mention the 5 or 6 other poor techniques you’re using.
Like ive said another great drill, another great take.keep them coming im shure some guru will make fun of it but use it wich sucks.i use this drill training but front or right foot in a 90 degree angle, with weighted balls off a tee, kidss and teenagers love it.i dont have them lean back as far, just stay center, and knob to catcher in the load, yes u can do it.been using this a long time ,i dont know if i want to call it any ONEpersons drill.thanx for posting,(one of ten coaches)
This drill works a lot better if you use a saggy old bag... the kind that feel like they're full of sand... rather than these modern ones that are all rubbery and bouncy. It's much easier to do lots of reps if the bag absorbs most of the force of the swing rather than creating that sharp rebound.
Also, the guy in this video is not holding his hands correctly for the torque drill. They should be higher and the bat should be against the outside of the shoulder.
awkwardly walks away
