Bomb movie!!! i just saw it , i just disagree on how there was alot of misinformation on how they portrayed 2pac and lil kim. biggie's actor was good.
hmm, I thought u was gonna be one of those guys who was gonna but lil wayne, t pain as the best! well its debatable, Tupac/Nas/Rakim/Big L/KRS-One/Slick Rick and new school guys like Papoose and REKS
Cus PAC mentored him in the beginning, and when he got shot BIG just turned his head like he knew nothing and didnt care. And if you were in the same situation you would have done the same. But when wu tang got there chains snatched in club 662 on the WEST SIDE, pac found the niggas who did it, and got there chains back.
But this movie was alright, BIG is one of the greatest to do it.
I dont like how they got tupacs story all wrong in this movie!
Do you think BIG had his ear to the streets at that time? Or think he was the "king of new york"? If the answer is yes then he would of knew what the niggas in the street were up to, or what was going down IN NEW YORK (pacs shooting). And if he had no control over stopping the hit on pac, he should have at least known who did it after the fact. THATS why pac was attacking him!
We got some pathetic little fanboy faggots on youtube. These niggas coming in here talkin some gay queer ass West coast vs East coast bullshit, grow up weak little bitches.
ok they made a biggie movie but what about pac or maybe is it that theres no one that can play tupac i hope they show what really happen when pac got shot.....i hope they don't put pac as the bad guy cuz that would really suck
dude i might be wrong but i dont think biggie went from rags to riches, in the biggie and tupac dvd documentary it says he grew up in a relatively wealthy family and went to a private school and shit
@Relithraxas thats funny cuz i went to fulton street were he grew up and went to his house and met his mom, voletta wallace. its a memorial now but its a small ass shit apartment. get ur facts strait
I disagree, I think Biggie's life story is being told because of what he achieved as a young adult; his childhood was quite "normal". Where as Tupac's life story would have made a good movie even if he were unknown, he was very nearly born in prison, his mother was a member of The Black Panthers as was his biological father & stepfather etc... We'll find out if/when someone makes a Tupac movie.
2 pac n biggie were both equally gud rappers n dey made a huge difference in hiphop. i don't noe y ppl r trying 2 compare dem. dere iz no need 4 dat. dey both r probably rollin in dere graves 2 noe dat ppl r disregading dere talents n achievements 2 put dem into competition. DEY R DEAD! who cares if 1 was beta den da oda.
Man im going to watch this in movies, buy dvd,buy bluray, this looks tight!Tupac Resurrection was like a document but this or more like the Ray Charles movie where Jamie Foxx was acting him.
yo i wanna see this movie i have so much respect for biggie he's awesome. and my mom actually met him too and she says it's a shame he died cuz he was such a nice guy, he was a gentleman.
It's going to suck because his mother's involved. She's the producer. Whenever family is involved in a biopic, the first thing to go is the truth. I sense it'll be sugarcoated, with his bad sides whittled down until they're smooth, and his good sides propped up until he's an angel. For celebrities, documentaries -- even sugarcoated ones -- are better than movies, because there's certain things you can't change or hide when you're dealing with live video of the subject.
Well, that's entertainment for ya! lol You're right about those nuances, though. If they do it that way, and the people going to see it have those same expectations, it won't do that well. The thing is, there are WAY too many die-hard Biggie fans for it to NOT do well. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
lol Derek Luke was Diddy after all!...damn I feel slow.
I might go see it just to see how Tupac is portrayed. I'll admit that the trailer does make it seem interesting enough to watch, but if I go go watch it, it better not get sappy on me, like most biopics do.
of course 2Pac is gonna portrayed as the bad guy in biggies film (as he kinda was with the beefing) and its gonna be mostly about biggie, 2pacs gonna come in in the later part of the movie to then last 45 mins or so
I wonder if they'll show Tupac's shooting in Vegas. I have my doubts because they wouldn't want to take away from the "drama" of Biggie's shooting. I'm sensing to save time and money, they'll just have someone run in and say, "Tupac was shot!" or have Biggie and crew by a TV, where the news is reported.
But I would like to see that in the movie. Tupac better not be a cartoon character in this flick.
i guarantee u he wont be a cartoon character, thers an actor thats gonna play pac. but its bigs biopic so its gonna stay on hm of course. i wonder wen theyll make one for pac. its a must see 4 me
yea but i dont think it was a movie to where its just like how biggie is having his film. 2 pac resurrection was more of a Documentary. so i dont know if 2pac is going to have a movie like this one.
Go wear a tupac shirt and scream out thug life at his opening or some shirt that says Westside 4 life
There was word back in 96 that there'd be a Tupac biopic. Some company picked up the rights to a Tupac book, and were going to shoot it. Also, Angela Bassett was to play Afeni Shakur. So, it's amusing that she's playing Voletta Wallace, whom she looks and acts nothing like. Sure, talent is key, but casting directors also need to get someone who at least looks a little bit like the person they're playing. So I can accept Mackie as Pac, but imagine if they picked a tall, skinny guy to play Biggie.
By cartoon character, I meant an exaggerated portrayal of Tupac. I don't want to see him portrayed as going to one extreme or another. Granted, the movie's not about him, but Tupac wasn't always Mr. Angry, and I don't want to see him always shown that way. I hope they make a Tupac biopic, and do him justice. I want to see him portrayed in all his complexity. I don't want him portrayed as a saint or a sinner, but as both. Tupac wouldn't want a sugary portrayal of his life.
yea because i completely understand y pac was how he was in the last year of his life, he was just lashing out from everything he been thru. and they need to show that. but im thinking theyll how him and pac meet in la in 92 then pac goin to jail, then focus on him sme mre, then pac comin outta jail and the whole fued starting. but tupac had an angry side and a softer side. they need to show both for sure
I'll still go see it -- might have to wear a Pac shirt, too, I'll see if any East Coast fools try to start some shhhh. :)
But seriously, I'm envisioning that they'll shot Biggie either watching TV when he finds out Pac was shot in Vegas, or perhaps a friend will run in, and tell Biggie. I do see that they're going to show the first shooting. I sense they're going to exaggerate Pac, portray him as a one-dimensional angry guy who basically deserved what he got.
Big L is slept on too much, he's underrated and never amassed the hype that pac and biggie got when they died. If u ask me you can't really decide who's the best outta these rappers: Big L, 2pac, biggie, nas and Jay-z. They all specialize in different areas and come hard no matter what the weather.
i listen to pretty much every genre of music out there, and have had my share of biggie for sure. despite that though, i have to admit that not a week goes by without me listening to Ready to Die from start to finish. People will disagree, but between Illmatic and Ready to Die I can't name a better rap album. period. end of story. biggie is one of the best rappers of all time.
Definitely, Illmatic and Ready To Die are two of the best, but for me Reasonable Doubt is up there too. To me, it's the Hip Hop album with the most ambition, and it is definitely for the young ambitious male who is straight out of high school, looking make something of himself with what he has. That's the stage of my life where I'm at now.
This movie looks tight but people are gonna love Biggie now, not that he wasn't loved before, but people don't realize that outside his legendary status, he was a pretty crappy rapper. Pac deserves the fame that he has gotten after his death, but I think that Biggie was a guy that became a great rapper because he died. Not to take anything away from him, but I don't know if he is the great rapper that everybody says he is.
big L was ill, he is one of da best n after his death every1 forgot him, eazy e was another ill cat he died n ppl forgot him, same for big pun list goes on...
fact is biggie was a gud rapper das y ppl styll listen 2 him, same goes for pac
I see where Techn9ne6 is getting at. Diddy goes all out for Biggie and keeps him alive, markets him as the greatest. Pac doesnt have a Diddy. Pac got in touch with his fans on a more intellectual level. Or maybe not..i'm not a fan of either.. but i notice that pac has more fan base and did more.. he stood up 4 equality, crossed racial boundaries, was a poet, an actor, etc. Either way they shouldnt be compared as they were two different rappers and reached so many people. R.I.P. 2 both.
i loved the first album . but it was done before . most dont realise that biggie kinda stole scarface swag . and mixed it with g funk for the first album . that ready to die is mr scarface is back . conceptually and biggie himself said he wanted g funk groves for ready to die. this was before everything went crazy and newyork didnt respect to the westcoast . truth be told newyork never knew how to make music . thats why south has it now . they just wanna have the best mcs in the game .
they dont make songs they make hot 16s with hooks.but there has been a paradigm shift in rap since 93 when dre released chronic and doggystyle . and bigie knew it jay knows it . 5o knows it . but as a formula . its not organic or soul music . look how far outkast came artistically using the same deathrow formula ?
This movie looks good they should have made a 2pac movie like this is would have been more interesting but 2pac Resurrection was a good documentary of 2pac telling us about his life in his own WORDS. nice :D

i loved the first album . but it was done before . most dont realise that biggie kinda stole scarface swag . and mixed it with g funk for the first album . that ready to die is mr scarface is back . conceptually and biggie himself said he wanted g funk groves for ready to die. this was before everything went crazy and newyork didnt respect to the westcoast . truth be told newyork never knew how to make music . thats why south has it now . they just wanna have the best mcs in the game .

they dont make songs they make hot 16s with hooks.but there has been a paradigm shift in rap since 93 when dre released chronic and doggystyle . and bigie knew it jay knows it . 5o knows it . but as a formula . its not organic or soul music . look how far outkast came artistically using the same deathrow formula ?

This movie looks good they should have made a 2pac movie like this is would have been more interesting but 2pac Resurrection was a good documentary of 2pac telling us about his life in his own WORDS. nice :D
