The effect they're showing here is called... head tracking. It has nothing to do with the stereoscopic depth effect that "3D" HDTVs have.

Doesn't matter though, as 90%+ of the consumers are too stupid to tell the difference. They'll just say "wow, I gotta get a 3D HDTV now."
