@MrDeadlyBalls777 In the first mario kart, the cpu controlled characters would have a special ability they used when you either got close to them, passed them or were behind them. Mario and Luigi would get Star power , which would make them invincible but they wouldn't get the speed boost that you would get if you got a starman when controlling them or anyother character.

I want the 90' back!!!!! I just dreamed if i could turn the clock backwards and revive my childhood again... i would change nothing. Childhood for me was so perfect.

@etshArk87 So true man....These are the games that wernt 60$ to play, and you would beat it in about a week.....I still play my N64 all the time....Mariokart 64, etc....That tells you something about the game....Call of Duty and all these games these days.....they are all the same, 1st person shooters....This game alone personally is better then Halo and call of duty....There was actual meaning to this game...it wasn't just another shooter....I wish I could go back to he 90s..:((

no, you could probably get a SNES and Mario Kart for around $75. Super Mario Kart is kind of rare and because a lot of people want it, it makes the game expensive. Like $20-30. I paid $23 for mine at a local shop. I like it a lot though.

You mention the DSP-1 chip as a problem, which makes me wonder; do you mean that the Wii's SNES emulator (the one that runs when you play Virtual Console games) doesn't support games with special chips? Or is it just a problem with THAT one?

We can only speculate, but by now, I am fairly certain indeed that the Wii SNES emulator does not support any extra chip. This is the reason we dont have Pilotwings and Mario Kart (DSP chip), Starfox, Sunt Race FX, Yoshis Island (SFX Chip) and Megaman X2 and X3 (Capcom C4 chip) on the Wii VC. A real shame...
