@bryan50rogers i can see that. mangustas are RARE. panteras are easier to acquire. love these old designs tho. looks fast sitting still. and doesnt have hte ferrari/lamborghini upkeep costs
@robbyvenetian- It's possible that they had less HP but its soooo easy to get more power from a small block Ford that it really doesn't matter. The engine had been built up from stock.
@robbyvenetian The difference in HP is likely due to exhaust/emissions restrictions such as catalytic converters. At least that is the reason for the HP difference between the European and American versions of the DeLorean DMC-12.
I can't agree with the interior colour, and the car shows its age and simplicity, but it's an absolutely beautiful vehicle and a total standout from the grey and white plastic boredom occupying your area (not that the area itself doesn't look great, though).
Also, this car has a massive amount of "trunk"space. :|
what an absolute beauty! the new exotics are nothing compared to these. new exotics are mainly owned by wall street douches, hollywood douches, drug dealing douches. whereas these true classic exotics are owned by real guys who love them, and like working on them. the aforementioned douches don't even fill them up with gas let alone maintain them. but that's ok! as long as the douches don't start meddling with these true beauties and stick with their 911 turbo douche mobiles!
that was my favorite when I was a kid and had my matchbox detomaso!" but...I wonder if front grill was only for decoration purpose, considering engine location,not much to cool in there! ( may be some beer!)
This model was one of the 1st exotic cars I'd ever seen in the late 60's. I was quite young and it make quite an impression. Thank you for this video. Your car looks sensational, I'm sure it took alot of effort.
Sorry to ask, you don't have to answer, but how much did you get for it?

The Mangusta came with a Chevy V8. Just as tuneable of course.

@ScramTek- This is not true. It was always a Ford small block.

@bryan50rogers
Apologies. Just checked. Thought it had a Chevy V8, despite the later Pantera being Ford powered.

@ScramTek- No worries. When you said that, I went and looked it up before replying too : )
