i dont think epic movie is that bad, compared to the other movies like meet the spartans and hero movie, those movies were completely corny, but i dont know i like the whole captain jack lazy pirate song lol and the davinci code monk was halirious, BUT i can see how people could hate it. non exactly jim carrey or dave chapelle material lol

Thanks for chiming in, melods. Keep in mind, EPIC came out before the two movies you mention and very clearly LOWERED the bar for what's expected in these sorts of pics. If you explore some of the early comments on this page you'll see recommendations for similar, and far superior, movies (Scary Movie 3 and the '80s Hot Shots films for instance). Take care! -Kp

Hey there, epicdrake! Sorry, man, but Epic Movie was just a mess. Let me give you some examples if I can remember them:

1. the MTV Cribs parody was a fun but WAY too long

2. the Superman parody & others were FAR too forced

3. the Pirates/SNL parody was cute but I think we'd all agree it's sort of pointless to parody something that's a parody to begin with (and the guy they had playing Jack was awful -- I'm much better =] [see my Pirates review]).

evil7333; people are different and enjoy different things, but calling epic movie "one of the best movies of all time" is just plain bullshit. there's a good reason why it's on imdb's BOTTOM 100 movies and practically every critic with gave it the lowest score possible

Before seeing Epic Movie I thought you were either exaggerating or the movie was simply not for you. After seeing it, I wholeheartedly agree.

Not so much as a giggle. Not even a smirk. The only feeling bearely in the same ballpark as enjoyement I felt during this movie is when the blonde guy rips off his shirt in the begining, but even then I suspect those pecs were CGI. :)

Scary Movie 3, directed by David Zucker (of AIRPLANE and NAKED GUN fame), was a lot of fun in part b/c of Zucker's understanding of comic timing. This movie, by two of the WRITERS of the Scary Movies, have no such understanding. -Kp
