I saw Idina in Wilmington in APril at the Baby Grand . We were her "test audience" for the PBS special. Shew as amazing both onstage and at the stage door. Can't wait to see the concert on PBS when it airs!!!!!
So, of course, I have to continue...If I had to choose betw. Idina and Kerry, it would be Idina without any question. She IS Elphaba. Not only does she have the powerhouse vocals, but her portrayal of the character is so rich, really vulnerable, and touching, then also hilarious when called for. I feel so lucky that I got to see her do that role. (Saw her in November '06)Now it feels unbelievable that I got to see her. Kerry is really a fabulous actress and incredible singer, too. She ROCKS!

Yep, we've seen it in LA, too. That's where we saw Eden and Megan. I live in an area where there are a lot of theater people and lots of local (excellent) productions, so, yes, there are a lot of Wicked fans. The tour came through Denver a year ago and I saw it there, too. And it was a really great main cast, but the ensemble wasn't as strong as London's. That's funny about the witchcraft questions. Jeese, people are ignorant.

How amazing were Megan and Eden?!? I would die to see them! But i have seen the show four times, all on Bway. (Idina and Kristin. Julia Murney and Kendra Kassebaum. I was lucky enough to see the original cast of Wicked with my friend for her birthday, but then i could have cared less. It wasnt until i moved to VA that i realized how amazing it Bway is.

Well, my mom wanted to o to NYC, so we scheduled a trip there over spring break. When the concert dates were posted, I asked my mom if we could pop over to CT and see the show. One of her friends lives there and we took the train and stayed for the night.

well the tryout is in a city near me, so I get to see it earlier than people who would go see it on broadway. It's gonna be a rockin' musical! Megan Hilty, SJB, and Allison Janney! I saw Megan in LA last summer. She is AMAZING, and the very sweetest of any of the actors I've ever met while waiting at the stage door. Just really nice and approachable and gorgeous, too, I might add! I will love her forever.
I haven't actually MET them, but you know, when you're at the stage door, some of them are more talkative than others....We saw Eden the same night as Megan. She was the total opposite...very quiet and almost withdrawn. I think it most be so emotionally and vocally exhausting to play Elphaba that you don't have a lot left to give ...plus there's the big job of just removing all the Green before you can even leave. Also, we've met Helen Dallimore & Kerry Ellis, both very nice and friendly.
You're so lucky!!! I'm (hopefully) seeing Eden in RENT this summer and i'm also seeing Kerry in WICKED. People have benn bashing her since they've found out she'll be replacing SJB, but i think shes amazing. Even though SJB's shoes are some big shoes to fill!
You will love Kerry in Wicked. She is fabulous! She was the first person I saw play Elphaba. We thought we were going to see Idina but she was sick...thankfully we had tickets to see it again later that week...because we are that insanely obsessed with Wicked! Got to see Idina at that second show. They are both massively talented incredible singers and actresses. I'm partial to Idina, but I loved Kerry, too. I hope you get to see Eden in Rent. Hi Begreen! No, I don't live in London. I live in Colorado! That would be a dream,I agree...No, the trip to London was a very amazing, crazy, impulsive trip we did as a family...TOTALLY because Idina was going to reprise her role as Elphaba. How insane is that?! The weird thing is, I discovered the soundtrack to Wicked in the summer of 2006, then I started reading all about Idina on the internet and found out she was going to be in London and it was just a fantasy at first, to go...but we did!
I had to also add that we got to see Idina in London, too. A night of a lifetime for me and my family. She had been out for about 4 days with a sore throat, though you'd never have known that from her incredible, powerhouse performance she gave. But at the stage door she was SO, SO quiet. I think she was really guarding her voice. There were tons of people in line wanting her autograph. The only thing I heard her say the whole time was "thank you" to my daughter, who made her a card. Sweet!

Yeah I saw her on the 5th in Mamaroneck and we couldn't get pictures with her because she was in a rush to get home =(. She was still so so so sweet about it.
I love the fact that in this video shes sitting on stairs waiting for a train, it shows how down to earth she is =).
I wish she would come to Denmark, I'd sure go see her. But I'll just have to settle for what I can see here on youtube, my RENT dvd and the soundtracks I have, and hope that someday I'll move to America, and that she's still active at that time.

Idina visited the left side and right side of the audience. She then greeted evreyone, Idina came so close I just began talking to her. So I gave her this Rubber Sculpture of her that I made. Then she gave me a huge hug. At the Stage Door, I got to talk to her more about being in London and having to still keep in Touch with Kristin Chenoweth. She said she stills speaks to her. After talking to her, I got autographs and a picture with her. That was my best night ever!!!!
Delaware NEVER gets good shows, how is it the one time we do, I miss it! hahaha Guess I'll have to travel to see a show, thanks for coming to my neck of the woods!
I wish I lived up North, so that way I could actually get to see her perform. Living in the South sucks. I am hoping that someday she will make it down here.

Yeah. i went to her concert at Fairfield and she signed my CD and gave me a hug (I told her that I had flown all the way out from L.A. to see the concert and she hugged me)! Have you ever met her?

Well, my mom wanted to o to NYC, so we scheduled a trip there over spring break. When the concert dates were posted, I asked my mom if we could pop over to CT and see the show. One of her friends lives there and we took the train and stayed for the night.

yes, probably 15 times! i've never seen Idina live in Wicked, but I saw the wonderful Eden Espinosa and Teal Wicks! I love Eden soooooo much, and Teal was very good for a standby!

Yes, I have seen Megan and I plan on seeing her in 9 to 5 as well. No, I haven't seen Caissie. I am planning on going to see Eden in RENT, but my dad is handling the tickets. He doesn't want to buy them until we get there and he wants to buy them from a scalper or something...well I'll let him deal with it. But I know I'm goin'!

well the tryout is in a city near me, so I get to see it earlier than people who would go see it on broadway. It's gonna be a rockin' musical! Megan Hilty, SJB, and Allison Janney! And Dolly Parton wrote the music! She is quite a character. I am not that familiar with Julia Murney, actually. I have only seen three Elphabas: SJB, Eden Espinosa (my love if i were lesbo) and Teal Wickes.

Heck yes it is going to be one rockin musical!!! But anyway, Julia Murney is AMAZING! i have seen 4 Elphabas: Julia, SJB, Idina and Lisa Brescia! I could never pick my favorite though! And i wait for the day to see Eden perform!! i almost think it would be worth going lesbo if i knew i could have eden.(well, maybe)Did you see BKLYN?

I saw Megan in LA last summer. She is AMAZING, and the very sweetest of any of the actors I've ever met while waiting at the stage door. Just really nice and approachable and gorgeous, too, I might add! I will love her forever.

I haven't actually MET them, but you know, when you're at the stage door, some of them are more talkative than others....We saw Eden the same night as Megan. She was the total opposite...very quiet and almost withdrawn. I think it most be so emotionally and vocally exhausting to play Elphaba that you don't have a lot left to give ...plus there's the big job of just removing all the Green before you can even leave. Also, we've met Helen Dallimore & Kerry Ellis, both very nice and friendly.

You're so lucky!!! I'm (hopefully) seeing Eden in RENT this summer and i'm also seeing Kerry in WICKED. People have benn bashing her since they've found out she'll be replacing SJB, but i think shes amazing. Even though SJB's shoes are some big shoes to fill!

You will love Kerry in Wicked. She is fabulous! She was the first person I saw play Elphaba. We thought we were going to see Idina but she was sick...thankfully we had tickets to see it again later that week...because we are that insanely obsessed with Wicked! Got to see Idina at that second show. They are both massively talented incredible singers and actresses. I'm partial to Idina, but I loved Kerry, too. I hope you get to see Eden in Rent. What a blast that will be!

Hi Begreen! No, I don't live in London. I live in Colorado! That would be a dream,I agree...No, the trip to London was a very amazing, crazy, impulsive trip we did as a family...TOTALLY because Idina was going to reprise her role as Elphaba. How insane is that?! The weird thing is, I discovered the soundtrack to Wicked in the summer of 2006, then I started reading all about Idina on the internet and found out she was going to be in London and it was just a fantasy at first, to go...but we did!

I had to also add that we got to see Idina in London, too. A night of a lifetime for me and my family. She had been out for about 4 days with a sore throat, though you'd never have known that from her incredible, powerhouse performance she gave. But at the stage door she was SO, SO quiet. I think she was really guarding her voice. There were tons of people in line wanting her autograph. The only thing I heard her say the whole time was "thank you" to my daughter, who made her a card. Sweet!

Holy crap! I jusdt realized I'm gonna be in New York Tuesday and Wednesday to see Wicked!!! Wicked is on Tuesday night and were not going home until three o clock the next day! Please do an early show Idina!!! Maybe I'll see her sitting on a set of stairs?? !!!!!

Yeah I saw her on the 5th in Mamaroneck and we couldn't get pictures with her because she was in a rush to get home =(. She was still so so so sweet about it.
I love the fact that in this video shes sitting on stairs waiting for a train, it shows how down to earth she is =).

I saw the first concert stop in New Brusnwick. She hugged me, Got to speak to her during and after the show, and called me Sweetie. She even remembered me. I saw her in See What I Wanna See at the Public in 2005 and I gave her the picture. I LOVE YOU IDINA!!! COME BACK TO NEW JERSEY!!!

During the show you talked to her? I went to CT concert on the eighth. She was very sweet to every fan there even though she wanted to leave. It was very nice. That's great that she remembered you. You gave her the picture of what?

Idina visited the left side and right side of the audience. She then greeted evreyone, Idina came so close I just began talking to her. So I gave her this Rubber Sculpture of her that I made. Then she gave me a huge hug. At the Stage Door, I got to talk to her more about being in London and having to still keep in Touch with Kristin Chenoweth. She said she stills speaks to her. After talking to her, I got autographs and a picture with her. That was my best night ever!!!!
