The weather here in BJ has been amazing for the last two weeks :-) So happy :-D the best in the last two years... There's talk of keeping it this way :-) You can get just about anything out here but of course if you can't tell dog from beef from donkey then you deserve what you get ;-) Having said that, the aubergine/egg plant and tofu can be pretty good...

Chinese may indeed be serving cat and dog meat under the guise of chicken or beef. What do you expect from China? I'm aware of one russian chinese restaurant that was busted for serving dog meat under the guise of "beef" dishes. Neighbors near the business complained because the dogs were whimpering and screaming in agony as they were chopped to pieces ALIVE or boiled alive.

Eh... Those dogs are breed for food. Are you arguing they should be kill faster. Or should not be killed at all? Or just be label as they are like veal?

I don't think it's very common, you know, dog meat is more expensive so... why would they do that? :?

That's China ethics for you. Did you some know the chinese prisoners-their organs are being harvested transplants? I heard that on a news program. I'm not surpised. It's possible some of their pork dishes are made of human meat. You never know-it's CHINA!

heard Beijing is 5 times more polluted than LA , even though never been to LA , I heard it is horrid out there
