WS6 is a handling + ram-air option package offered on Pontiac branded Trans-am / Firebirds. The SS package on Chevy branded Camaros is basically the same package on the same chassis. Motor code is LS1 (5.7 / pushrod / all-alluminum V8).
Very nice motor swap. These motors are jewels when mated to a lightweight Japanese chassis. Probably weighs the same (maybe less...) as the original iron blocked VG30DETT, so all handling characteristics would remain the same (maybe better...) :]

WS6 is a package on a Firebird. So perhaps it's a WS6 Firebird engine?
